  • Hello and welcome to A Crafter’s Story,
Don’t throw your junk mail or store magazines away. They make great bases for collage fodder flowers, mushrooms, leaves and more. In this video I used magazine pages to make several collage fodder pieces.
    Thank you for stopping by.

I currently post on a Monday and Wednesday. On occasion I add a third video.
I concentrate on junk journal and art journal crafts while I try to repurpose and reuse items that would otherwise go to the landfill. I’m an adventurous crafter which means that I like to experiment with different ideas.
Please join our FACEBOOK GROUP. It’s where a community of crafters share ideas. I try to post a downloadable freebie every Friday. They are free to download and use in your craft projects. Please do not sell them.

Thank you very much. I seldom throw out a magazine. They are sliced and diced first. LOL. :0) You just never know what treasures can come out of the pages. :0)

These are very pretty and feminine. And I think i can do these. Had stroke in April. And I have a little problem with my dominant hand (right). So I believe I’ll try. So thank you for sharing

Love the video!!! I use my jelly mat which was less expensive than the gel plate. I also took some marbles and rolled them in blobs of paint to pick up the paint in a wooden tray. It not only gives a marbled effect on the tray, but it gives beautiful prints. I was using old paper I had bought for my grandchildren (now 22-15- 18!! from my daughter) but found it thin. Layering it is a great idea!!! and the edges are already aged. Lol! Not having any talent for drawing, I found videos for children on how to draw and learned to draw from them. My grandkids used to say gandma draw a dog and I just couldn't but with the children's version I could and surprisingly, now they all love to draw and are constantly drawing pictures for the two newest additions (from my son) ages 2 and 3 who also love to draw. Thanks for the videos!

What a blessing that you can draw and play with your grandchildren. I'm not an artist by any means but over the years I picked up a few drawing tips. Thank you for stopping by and for the complement. :0)

Or you could do it straight on to regular paper, saves all that glue.
