Why does this sport seem so disconnected from artistic gymnastics? They're clearly related skill sets and similar athletes, and yet there seems to be very little crossover.
They're pretty connected.. large enough gymnastic clubs always have at least one trampoline, it just isn't in the bracket of events that constitute competetive artistic gymnastics, and only more recently became an Olympic event itself :)
It's a difficult move to link off due to the number of twists - it makes for a very blind landing. Routines tend to have a few hard skills at the start when you have the most energy, and one hard skill at the end to keep you focused. Miller is one of the hardest backwards skills so it makes sense to have it at the end of the routine.
If you notice every routine starts with a forwards skills, therefore it wouldn't be at the start, and in synchronised trampoline the sych score gets doubled so your focussing on that more than anything else
I'm mesmerized by this. how are they going so high? so many flips?! it makes me hold my breath hoping they don't fall
I do trampolining for a sport but this is very mesmerising it could still yet be better if they were a little tighter but it was really nice to watch

How can France didnt get winner?
BangChan and Jackson Should Date Jeungyeon cause France is bad
Is there a reason so many trampoline routines finish with a miller? For example, why don't they do it at the start or in the middle of the routine?
