Choosing your Bobby Garland Crappie Bait, based on the water clarity that you're fishing. Regardless if you're fishing clear or muddy water, we have you covered with a color that will work.
I love these videos Kevin! Thanks for all the extremely helpful tips! You're not only one of the best in the business as far as anglers, but you're a great person! Still mad I forgot to pick up the goldmember when I was at Bass Pro last weekend!
High contrast is more important in turbid water. Something like black, purple, or blue. A yellow or chartreuse will basically disappear in turbid water.
I've never really caught a ton of crappie on any of the bobby garland I have always had to keep changing out lures so much I just went back to fishing live bait.
I use the basspro version n kill them when the crappie are in(under a bobber about 2 ft).. I usually keep one on a pole from spring till mid summer.. the bass like them too after the crappie are done. They can be picky fucks tho.. they only really like a certain color in my water, and sometimes ya have to fuck w the retrieve. They really seem to like the Bait doing a pendulum swing action... this also works while fishing under boats in a marina w out a bobber.
The thing I had a question about is, when you switch to a bright vibrant, off-putting color bait in dirty water and the fish can see it, but natural bait fish cannot change their colors in different water tones, so wouldnt a bright vibrant bait spook fish in any water clarity?
Tie a double jig rig with different colors and see what gets bit. All kinds of theories and all independent for everyone. Kinda crazy. Something to think about though. Maybe certain prefer certain colors themselves?
Love the jersey in the thumbnail.....Booby Girland...awesome.
Good information there. I'm like you black/and pink is my goto color. Great videos, Great channel, Keep up the great work.

Super nice video. I live crappies fishing.
I have a personal friend that has won national and regional crappie tournaments. He says color doesn’t matter. I tend to believe color does matter.
Good info !
Did you have a energy drink before this video? Lol

Chartreuse is my go to color. Anything I buy for the first time I buy chartreuse or neon pink.

What website can I use to order more colors?
so Orange and Chartreuse would be good in Muddy water??? and a bigger profile in that color
Italian Troutaholic I run orange and chartreuse in muddy water with slab buster jigs and they smoke it every drop!
What do you use for in between water like just stained do you still go with bright colors
Yes, bright is always better (they need to see it).
Red and yellow tube
White and chartreuse
Salt pepper
Black and pink
Only colors I fish on my lake
Gold member stroll r works good for me in muddy water.
