I think the first album was very much Led Zep but still good. However, once you go through the albums up to Outlier it’s apparent that KC carved out a distinctive style of their own.

Never heard of them or seen anything by them on MTV back in the day ... saw them for the first time TONIGHT and it was on the MTV CLASSIC channel ... so glad I turned it on. Wow
I agree that they could & should have been more popular, especially compared to what is put out today. I saw the video for “Do You Like It?” on Head Banger’s Ball late one night. I rarely saw it played after that. Fortunately I recorded the shows weekly to take on Navy Med Cruise. This and many other hard rock & metal videos got me through a lot of long boring night shifts!
