This occasion I decided to put my hands onto Rattle That Lock since I always thought that
it's most known radio edit versions didn't make much justice to the song really, where one
of it's greatests spots is precisely that wonderful long ending guitar solo that was cutted
for a "commercial" (!?) fade-out; so this is my humble attempt to expand it's experience.
Firstly, and after several experiments and testing how other ideas worked I finally arrived
to the conclusion that the original video worked amazingly well (better if you will) at lower
frame rates (for me at least), at the point that now after this rework, when rewatch the original
video format it annoys me a little bit since beside it's "radio edit", it's like something is
missing there. This make me think that who knows, maybe the original video could have been
created for this full version of the song really and then due to marketing reasons, finally
"re-adapted" for co-living with the radio edit, who knows, just guessings...
So as I said, I based my work on the full version of the song, used an uncompressed version
of the videoclip to preserve quality, then adapted it matching it perfectly to the soundtrack,
and to make the experience whole, redesigned and recreated all the sound effects along the story.
Finally for those who prefers to enjoy the music purely I added a separated version without
the cinematical sound edit, also including a dedicated new intro I made exclusively for it,
instead of that known loop and to make it more exclusive; and I'm happy with the result.
Brief process summary:
▪ Original song track obviously remastered; edited and re-equalized to deliver a deeper and
stronger sound texture through low and high frequencies, enlightening very specially
the bass line and drums.
▪ Added a remixed longer intro inspired on that one David used for his RTL world tour.
▪ Recreated all the special sound effects to back ambient the song atmosphere and the video
story itself (which by the way, was a truly massive head breaking) with individual stereo channel
treatment to increasing the spacial action.
▪ Uncompressed video version used to deliver the best image quality possible, (as I always do).
▪ Improved several aspects of The Making Of documentary general audio, dialogues and music.
▪ Added visuals & Graphic Design based on the original album art.
▪ Included a version without the cinematical sound edit.

Vídeo y letra si, muy polémicos para los que somos creyentes.
Sabemos la mayoría la historia de satán y su lucha por los tiempos contra Dios, su creador también.
Incluso en la portada de un disco de led zeppellin viene ese ángel caído, que se dice, representa a Apolos.
En fin, es un tema obviamente largo por ser una cuestión religiosa.

Me alegro que te haya gustado Mick! Como le comenté a alguien por acá, y más allá que David es agnóstico/ateo (tengo un reportaje de el de no hace muchos años donde lo dice), creo que la letra realmente no es religiosa sino ecologista y se refiere al desastre sin retorno que le estamos ocasionando al planeta, y se usa literariamente la historia de Lucifer elípticamente como para demonizar ese ese acto de desafío, del ser humano (Lucifer) hacia la naturaleza (Dios); algo de ese desafío deja entrever Polly sutilmente en el documental. De hecho el video, por su contrapunto de oscuridad y por esas escenas de arboles invadiendo a las personas, me recordó bastante al de Take It Back. Abrazo!

This song and video seem Extremely Satanic too me, and have disappointed me greatly ! I was never a fan when David originally did this after seeing the video. It broke my heart for him.
Everything is a point of view, but the song itself is not satanic at all, in fact in my opinion it speaks about the disaster we're doing to our planet and nature, and the video just like Polly told, used the literary Lucifer storyline to represent that act of defy. Cheers and thanks for commenting.
