Only in Africa you see buses with roof racks. I remember the old green Zupco buses that used to smoke so much you could not overtake them as the smoke was so thick, and some were so clapped out that they would literally crawl sideways down the road so the passengers in the rear on one side had a good view of the road ahead through the side windows. Still lots of scania carts in the city centre, they can be a real annoyance to motorists but at least the owners of these are working for a living.
