I think you need to hear this entire album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. It's a concept album about an alien who tries to save earth as a rock and roll star. Other songs to hear are Suffragette City, Moonage Daydream, Five Years and Ziggy Stardust. The entire album is incredible, definitely a must hear!

When we were kids listening to this (I'm an old fart) we didn't have the videos. Now we knew, David was...different, from the few times we saw him on his album covers. The time that I grew up in, gay was bad. It took me many years to overcome that problem and most people my age have not. Yes! Not very Bowie knowledgeable as I was born a few years after this act. However, wow to have FINALLY come across this performance just last month! It's one of the best performances I've ever seen! Special mention to the movie THE MARTIAN for this and showing my 10 year old, he loves it too!
