Thanks for addressing the comments and concerns around the speed of which you go through the setup. This felt better for sure. As you said, can’t please everyone but do think when you’re going through a squad build it’s important to touch on the basics such as items and tactics, if they aren’t important just mention it as you did here and gloss over them. But this for sure felt a bit better, even if you just need to say, “hey leaving this on screen for a moment to pause for those who want to directly copy” or someone like me thst ends up rewatching or rewinding several times 😂

There are several composition that works for this team, but both the wyvern aerial wing acc and quick impetus is a must. You can either support them using gambler coins(the wyvern reins give true strike so you don't need to worry about accuracy) or you can add thunder or freeze tome for crowd control.

    Awesome setup
You get a free dragoon warspear during the mission A Half-Elf’s resolve, which is also where I first tried the build

Something to note is that if the wyvern gets blinded, dragoon dive will miss because blindness overrides true strike attacks for some stupid reason. I say this because a single feather bow completely ruined my version of this build.
    TLDR: Bring Refresh Skills

After doing some mock battles, trying this dragoon dive was getting completely negated by my fast archers with ice arrows.

yeah when I saw the Offline arena team do a fire ice combo, I was like... wtf, why didn't i think of that? lol

Fighters/vanguards are a good deterrent to this team. Dragoon Dive is considered Ranged, so their arrow cover will basically nullify the attack on themselves and 1 other party member. Add freeze immunity to the fighter and boom.

Would a high initiative guard or passive seal nullify that arrow guard?

    • @jayellgee
      @jayellgee 5 месяцев назад +1

@@courvea thief can nullify the guarding completely, I believe, without much initiative stacking.

@@courve passive seal/steal, yes. Guard seal, I’m actually not sure. With Passive Steal, though, If they guard, the PP steal fails

100% this isn't really a online battle team as much as its a cheese the game team.
One hoplite or fighter is not to bas since you can passive seal but it for has weaknesses

This team’s biggest Achilles heel is Quick Dispel. Quick Impetus is treated as a buff, and Quick Dispel will shut it down, robbing you of that instant follow up and all the PP spent on it

On early/mid game, im not sure if frost tome or gambler's coin is much better

  • @charlettmoon2693

I did this with a magical version, and had the Cat Ear Hood on my archer, actually. The hood can be used with any character, so the archer gave Quick Impetus to my mage, with the shaman giving the Magic+ from the Familiar's (Choker???) I think the name is? The only problem is that Trinity Rain is only purchasable way later in the game, so Dragoon Dive is better on an earlier team.
There *is* a Black Cat Hood that does the same thing, Quick Impetus, that you can buy later on. Thus you can easily run two squads late game, one that does Dragoon Dive and focuses on Physical damage, and one that does Trinity Rain and focuses on Magic damage. These are absolutely monstrous. The only thing I don't recommend is putting this unit in Alain's group endgame, because Alain is pretty strong on his own, and so why have only two busted units when you can have *three* busted units?

Yeah that's my goal once I can afford the staff. Try the quad nuke build or something

    I absolutely love it! lol

My favorite team atm is fran, offensive/all rounder griffin, the guy elf fencer with rosalinde and Magellan in back. Rosalind does 2 slyph wind right away then the griffin initiative up and whack away while Mag goes buck wild with killing chain. 3 calvary row with high initiative clive and Renault buffs plus using cloe with the pike that buffs calvary absolutely slaps

I would put Alain in the front to protect the dragoon

It's for sure possible but I use Alain in a different team but no doubt there is a lot of flexibility with this main engine

Anyone saying Dragoon gets blinded ruins this build… play talks about so many ways to debuff foes initiative. If you don’t want to worry about that though just equip the Dragoon user with Ravens plume, Angels plume and Heavenswing Reins. I’m currently at 72 initiative with this set up. No one goes first against me

  • @jonl2792

Great video, saw a few other creators have something similar. Once you get to those owls that debuff you when you get buffed makes the unit build a bit ineffective. Running into that issue now. What are your thoughts on that?

I wanna see a 5 man squad that can use this attack and trinity cast both in one turn. Can someone show me that? That would be impressive. This strategy he’s using, people have been doing since the day of release and is nothing to be impressed by.

It should be possible. Once I have enough divine shards to get the trinity staff I'll try it

This team is good for pve but poorly performed in pvp due to the combo is easily countered by quick dispel, max initiative turn 1 nuke, alicina aoe negate, blindese, cover.
