Apothecary is still major part of my teams 8 months in. Don’t sleep on Spirithost as well. Agree with frozen Banshee but I didn’t pull her till way late.
Adding to the ones you have already mentioned, i'd say: (not including voids) - Marked (barbarians) Her increase defense big version in a three turn cd is awesome in a rare. - Souldboundbowyer (barbarians): easy to build since she has 25% increased chance to critical hit and in the early game we don't have good artifacts. She hits hard, but she needs lots of books. - Metalshaper(Lyzardmen): Places a shield in all allies for 2 turns in a 2 turn cd, pretty dope for Doom Tower and faction wars and if you need a shield guy, plus he's a defensive, so easier to keep alive. - Gnarlhorn(Skinwalkers): Great for faction wars in niche builds.. plus he is campaign farmable. - Petryfia Rockroot: (Demonspawn): An improved version of Frozen banshee nowadays in my point of view. - Diabolist (Demonspawn): She is good for some endgame content, like doom tower rare only or faction wars in a stun set of something. - Abyssal (Demonspawn): Block buffs on a1, heal on a2 on all allies for 45% of their max hp on a 3 turn cd and increase def and atk on a3. - Grinner (Undead Hordes): Good if you want to mess around, but great for faction wars (one of the few revivers in rares) - Judge (Dark Elves): quite fun for arena plus a aoe 2 hits on a2. - Spirit Host (Dark Elves): Cleanser and a big version of increase atk. - Executioner (Knights Revenant): Big increase defense on himself in a rare in a defense based champion with a counterattak skill with an a1 with a chance to stun, and aoe o a2. Simply great for DT and faction wars. - Crimson Slayer (Knights Revenant): Sleep on a1, triple hitter with a chance to put a target to sleep. if you need a sleeper for Sand Devil. Plus she is good in Faction Wars. Turn meter control on a2 and a aoe on a3. - Avir (Dwarf): Decrease atk and speed on a2, turn meter and heal for allies on a3. Nice support with good base stats for a rare. - Master Butcher (Dwarf): Nice for some niche contents later in the game, plus faction wars. - Odachi (Shadowkin): Only good rare worth mentioning in this faction. Increase def on all allies, small version, but still, all allies. Defense based and a shield on himself with a aoe on a2. - Sylvan Watchers: Some amazing rares there. I'd say almost all of them are usable if you need any of their roles. Not an instant 60, but who knows. Good faction there.

One of my favorite rares to bring specifically for the advanced quest "use a rare champ in clan boss", my goto is almost always Petrifya. She brings decrease def, decrease attack, poison sensitivity and poisons. If you can get her awakened, use the Nature's Bounty blessing to give her a chance to put the big versions of her debuffs on the CB. If you're lucky enough to have Wixwell, I would change this rare to Valerie for the increase attack and buff extension in my CB team.
It's interesting that the rares you've mentioned have actually been great since the inception of the game. And most of them are farmable, if not really easy to get. They're the OGs of the game. Now, in the year of our Lord 2024... the new cool kids are Ingid and Flannan with their fancy new modern kits... and the coolest new kid, Torrux known by his super subtle name of Longsword. (In other words, go check out those three new rares, they're actually really good and worth experimenting with).
Hey Cece very nice video. For me the best rare champs to take them max level would be 10. Kael, Pain Keeper, Coldheart, Apothecary, Dilgol, Heiress, Avir the archimage, Bellower, Frozen Banshee, Reliquary tender. Some will serve you at an advanced stage of the game, but others stay in the mid game. But it's still worth it to upgrade them, they will be a good support.😊
Hi thank you! Yesss agreed there’s lots of void rares that are great that while making my list I’m like they need their own video for sure lol. But still other great units you might not use all endgame but will be helpful along the way 😄
On my main account, rares are only used in Doom Tower Secret rooms, or in faction wars. Also use some rares in cursed city. However, on my mini account, I am using more rare champions. One rare champion that really shocked me, and Ash really sold me on this champion, and that is Gnarlhorn in the skinwalkers faction. He is the only rare in the game with an AOE Provoke on a 3 turn cooldown. He was my answer to progression in spider, and im able to do stage 20 in normal easily. Mother Superior in the sacred order faction is a decent healer in the mid game. Although my only problem with her is that she needs to be about 300+ speed for her to be effective enough in the late game. I would like to see plarium give her a buff, yet rare champions dont get any love anymore. Very rarely do we see epic buffs anymore. I used Dunestrider in the barbarians faction on my main account until i got to nightmare campaign, then she fell off. Her kit isnt that great, however she is an awesome damage dealer for progression in campaign and faction wars. Lots of good rares in this game, and of all the rares in the game, there are only 5 that can be effectively used in the end game, and 2 are voids. Love your content.
That's understandable it's almost a shame that the rares fall off as early game they can be great but they don't get love to be able to keep up late game. I overlooked Gnarlhorn that AOE provoke on a rare is huge. I'm inspired to make another video about overlooked champs now haha thank you 😄 I do find games as they update and buff champs typically prioritize legends tho
The best Rares are going to be Void for sure but non-void... I haven't been in early game for so long the only ones I use are for DT secret rooms. Kael and Apothecary will help new people progress for sure. Since Kael is excluded from the list then Apothecary will be the best, Warmaiden, Frozen Banshee, Soulbond Bowyer and Executioner. Armiger is uncommon but can be added to the list just because he's better than most Rares, many Epics and arguably some Legos.
Yes the void rare video is coming 🙏🏻 I think we can all agree some of the best rares are in there. Absolutely for secret rooms they’re helpful! Always love hearing others opinions on champs 😊
Another truly great showcase! And you covered arguably the best ones. I would add Executioner as another farmable champ that gets a lot of use for his turn meter and speed control on the Tumult ability. He is a champion that is easy to feed, and until I realized it can't tell how many times I had already fed him haha. And of course there's Metal Shaper for doing good work on Scarab King with the shields. Master Butcher is also a rare champ I recommend building out, especially for faction wars and provoke on Magma Dragon for Doom Tower. Lastly, I think so many of the Sylvan Watchers rares are worth leveling, at least to 50, as they are good. And maybe whenever they release the newest faction the Raid devs will continue this trend of having factions added later to the game having very good rares as well.
Just thought of one more, Abyssal from the Demonspawn faction. Pair him with an ally attacker or two and his A1 attacks all enemies and has chances at block buffs which can be good for early stages of Hydra or wherever block buffs will be most useful for you.

Eleanir as starter is sick!(in good way) back in a days and still till this day in some content you can clear out waves with her and another aoe poisoner.
I feel like for a new player especially she’ll be a tremendous help getting through the early game 😊 then later you can pair her with great poison units!

Great list, thanks! I've been working on lots of rares recently. Mainly for Faction Wars teams (for the advanced quests) and Doom Tower secret rooms, so what you said about niche uses is so true!
I think spirithost is a great add to this list, also campaign farmable stage 4. Probably better than marquess. Increase atk, cleanse and block buffs, all battles speed aura
I have kind of had to stop summoning since I have too many unique units and do not want to really feed them. The costs to expand the box is a lot for new players when I am constantly low on silver.
None Void Apothecary is King and Warmaden queen, Kael is the best Starter as he plays in all content in the game, with that said; Marked and Valerie are two of my favorite because they are great for clan boss and they help you in Faction wars. All 5 of them can clear Dragon, FK amd Ice Golem stage 20 easy with good gear up to 25 on normal.

Apothecary is the best rare in the game. He will carry your team far.
Also Cold Heart and Bellower will help you out a lot.

That’s super fair, I’ve been utilizing my vaults as much as I can but I’m also at the not summoning point and just building what I can for now 😊
