These things are built like a tank, I’ve had numerous Zero Turns and never seen one with 5 lugs amount many other things. I bought a really nice seat off Amazon, black with reddish orange stitching it looks great. $150.
I have this same mower that seems to be having the same issue with the left side as yours did. I have not taken it apart yet, but I need to fix this so I can start cutting grass. Can I ask what site you found the replacement pump parts? Thank you for your time and making this video, I priced a new pump and would much rather try to rebuild first for what the replacement would cost. Had you not made this video I would have never thought to try a rebuild myself.
I looked at hydro gear diagrams on the pumps and the cover is always pointed to the linkage like an arrowhead, flat side would be facing the wheel and tire.
I have an important question for you as I’m having problems with power to the left side after installing a new wheel pump. The right side is super strong. I rebuilt the left pump and installed a brand new left wheel motor. My question is are both your charge pump covers facing the same direction or are the facing opposite direction? This will definitely clear up my confusion. Also I’m wondering if Hydro gear sent out pumps with charge covers facing in different directions.🤷♂️ Thanks again.
@@builditright4666 that’s ok. Both arrowheads face left. Mine was kind of a basket case but I’ve got it figured out now. Waiting on a wheel motor that should arrive Friday. Bought a set off eBay but had to return them as they were locked up. Go figure! Thanks for getting back.
I have this mower. My left side is like 25% power to the right side. My dealer said it's the wheel motor not the pump. How does he know this? Oh yeah. Have to rebuild no replacements on the wheel motor.
just curious because I have chance to buy one similar. No springs on the front. Cannot find the year they made with no front susp springs? And...like you I enjoy a project. Just want to be able to get parts
Taper Locks. They've been around forever. I dealt with them a lot back in the 70's

it amazes me how many try to repair hydraulic stuff without getting all the possible dirt and grime off the part before trying to tear it apart.
Not TOO shabby
