That Noah Core fight is one of the most visually stunning boss fights I've ever seen, especially that drop at 8:48. Playing it in the moment, I felt like I myself was falling. It was incredible.
When I first played this file, I was scared that killing Akira was the only way to stop Noah. Then when I saw multiple play throughs of people not killing Akira, I didn’t want to see what would happen and play it myself. Then I replayed all of file 11 to get the other ending, only to see that I get the same ending no matter what.
Thano’s Farm I kind of felt that the ending where you choose to end it just felt a bit more concluding, with the Axe Legion (Max) giving you that sad little nod telling you that you know what needs to be done.
Noah Core battle was so trippy. I literally had to think back on my day and make sure i hadn’t drank or smoked anything. and nope sober as a goat. im sure i could have beaten it faster but i just didn’t want to lol say what you will about the “weak plot” but the gameplay and art style and ost of this game is one the absolute best of this generation of games for me. this right here is why i spend money on games. a great experience.
It didn't follow her will, they have a will of their own, and it had been shown several times, as well as in the post credits and files it talks about them making actual bonds with and caring/worrying about their users, my guess is that her Arrow Legion cared enough for her to end her. Also the Axe Legion did it with you because some part of their dad is alive inside the Axe legion and therefore it was like father and sibling taking out a member of their family.
Yikes! Is End of Evangelion nightmare, Kars from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, stuff from Metal Gear Rising, Persona all rolled into one blissful epic hellish and chaotic scenario! Holy &$@*!
I think Max is still alive, when we re-encounter the Axe Legion it has the chain and collar around it's neck, that means Max was able to recapture it, but for whatever reason he let it go.
@@glitchednynxwe were a special case since the twin mom gave birth when she was in the verge of redshifting. This is explain in the Akira database after file 11
And there's still plenty of story potential for a sequel! For instance, the Chimeras are still a threat and we don't know enough about the world outside the Ark.
I wish the story didnt kind of fall apart because this final boss kicks ass. It really felt like half the game was removed in the story. Like there was supposed to be an equally large segment for when the villain was in charge
I'm kinda disappointed you don't get to fight Yoseph when he merges with Noah's core. Would've been interesting. Speaking of Yoseph, is it just me or does he sound a lot like Albert Wesker?
If I had to guess he'd start out invincible since you're not part of the astral plane, so you're stuck dealing with his attacks until Akira breaks his immortality, then you're free to beat the crap out of him. He can still fight back, but if you've ever played a Platinum game before, you'll be fine. Besides, save those revive batteries for -Kars- Noah Prime
Tip if you are watching this for strategies against this boss - if you hit start (even briefly) to bring up your scanner, it will add the boss' life bar to the UI so you can track how close you are.
This game looks fun but come on, I can't be the only one who was expecting the anime Jim Gordon to be the plot twist villain. Also, does anything change if you decide to kill her?
Me who has played astral chain:*Telling everybody about the story of Noah’s Ark*. The priest wondering why the story is about an inter-dimensional chimeric alien and not a man and a boat to save animals (Insert distorted Kung Fu Panda meme template here)
Noah just stood there for me while i could deal damage once his health went down to half he dispeared, no where could be seen. now i have to start over the whole mission
I’m know I’m not the only one who noticed how Yoseph sounds like a vampire when he summons Noah! Also, S+ ranking the Noah core on Pt. Standard was quite a struggle. Had to use the Axe Legion equipped with the slow attacks to make it easier. Same thing with the “Person of Interest” case, too.
I'm just upgrading the hell put of the sword legion, I understand that each legion has it's own strengths and abilities. But I love how fluid the sword legion feels. With the arm legion I feel slow. With the beast legion I feel wild and uncontrollable at times. And the arrow legion just doesn't give me that satisfaction
@@adamjohnson8305 I get what you mean, astral chain wasnt designed with that in mind, but he is thinking of possible ideas to make it a three part series or more.
DerBear again. I will repeat. That statement where they said there is a possibility for sequels was a mistranslation of something completely different.
@@adamjohnson8305 what did they mean then, because in everything I read including their corrections, they say hes tosses ideas for the possibility of making it a three part series or more.
Yoseph shall join Dickson from Xenoblade Chronicles in the hell specially made for manipulative b*stards. Also the Noah fight give so much Zanza vibes. And oh my god the legion system looks like the blades from Xenoblade Chronicles 2... that's too much coincidence to simply be coincidences
*looks at Yoseph* ...seriously? The Player stabbed you back and forth yet you feel nothing...but then when Akira stabs you from the back, you go "this can't be"?! Boooo... =3=
According to the database, Akira wasen't suppose to keep her/his free will after being absorbed by Noah which is why Yoseph was probably so caught off guard. Additionally just like Seiryu J said, since she was absorbed by Noah she was on the same plane of existence as him which is why she was able to interact with him.
While I loved the game, am I the only one who was left confused after it was all done? There was not a single thing answered in the story. The longer the story went on for, the more questions that were raised ended up never getting answered.
I mean, yeah, she's your sister and you probably don't want to kill her. But...she has a practical god of death and destruction within her capable of destroying all of humanity, that just spent the last 30 minutes kicking my ass. So...
i don't make a signe true "game over" on this game, all first try in normal difficulty....but i 'm not gonna lie......the last boss.... really push me back to the wall...almost die, damn , the plot is simple ...but the fight was intense
no, the avatar we dont chose (who is our twin sibling in the game) sacrifices themselves to hold the villain back , they tell our protag to kill both him/her and the villian while they are still able to hold the villian down
So true, the phase where Noah Core destroyed part of the floor was trippy as hell. I also paused a few times against Prime because, y'know...that was INTENSE
Just finished the game, played on standard and got wiped out the first time. Barely managed to take it the second time, such an intense and epic battle.
That is a real downside I mean why have a voice actor for both characters if you will not fully play all the roles? I mean while I was watching I even thought up some lines on the spot to give Asuka an actual personality. Also it will add depth of character for Asuka as he/she realizes what Blue Evolve does and the growing distrust he/she has towards Yoseph and understanding Jena but still has to stop her nonetheless because it's true she wants to save humanity but she's going about it in a way that costs more lives than it would save. Then after Jena's demise, the character as I have named Asuka puts all the pieces together and fully come to realize what Jena was warning her about involving Yoseph and his plans and resolves to get Akira away from him. During that Legion fusion he/she in a way remembers Jena's words and decides to surpass her.
@@VanishEclipse4867 THANK. YOU. I mean BAKUGAN DEFENDERS OF THE CORE ON THE FREAKIN BASIC WII did this flawlessly back in 2010!!! @@PirateKingBoros The thing is they did that but well I guess they only did the voice for the siblings. At least give Asuka or Hikari Howard a voice and character development too. Is it bad that someone who doesn't play video games anymore can even bust up some dialogue for a silent character? > Despite the Sword Legion being YOUR Legion, you could feel a hint of sadness across all of the other Legions.

Protagonist:
".......Well...I...
The more I think about it, the more it's scaring me to death...
But if I don't do anything, Noah's just gonna break free.
.....If I have no choice but to kill her...I...
I, at least, want you to know that...I'm grateful for everything you've both done to help me."

Arrow Legion:
"...I'm entrusting you both with this, alright...?
Please, free her from all this pain for me."
> And then, the Arrow Legion vanished.

Sword Legion:
"........Of course."
> You and the Axe Legion both get up as you all look at Akira, still holding back Noah.
Axe Legion:
".......Ready, Howard?"
> The Axe Legion goes into a stance, preparing its...well...axe.
> Even in all the hesitation you're in, you still find the courage to take a stance as well.
> Your hands are shaking.
> The Sword Legion holds your wrists with its hands in order to help.
> It looks at you and nods as Akira smiles one last time, ready to take the final blow.
Protagonist:

Sword Legion:
*"Even though you'll be gone...That doesn't mean that I'll..."*

That Noah Core fight is one of the most visually stunning boss fights I've ever seen, especially that drop at 8:48. Playing it in the moment, I felt like I myself was falling. It was incredible.
I was pretty freaked up when the Akiras turned monsters. Thanks god that they all absorbed into the core . Imagine fight all those Akiras
@tono_lagos8765ngl i would want to do that instead of the clones killing themselves

And then, she comes back to life again. Just like she did several other times.

Oh wow this game even has Asura's Wrath's final boss.
This ending sent shivers straight up and down my spine. This choice imo is the much more fitting choice to end the story
Noah Core battle was so trippy. I literally had to think back on my day and make sure i hadn’t drank or smoked anything. and nope sober as a goat. im sure i could have beaten it faster but i just didn’t want to lol say what you will about the “weak plot” but the gameplay and art style and ost of this
game is one the absolute best of this generation of games for me. this right here is why i spend money on games. a great experience.
That moment right before the final fight when the axe legion looks back at you, absolute chills.
You wanna talk about a difficulty spike
I was literally the meme of having to sit up and focus
Noah Prime became one of my fav bosses ever. Very epic, challenging, tricky and really fun to refight in my opinion. What a way to end the game!
Out of all the bosses Noah Prime has to be the cheapest final boss I've ever faced died 3 or 4 times due to cheap ass unfair Boss AI

I swear to fuck, the one anime game that feels like an anime game and is an actual good fucking anime game.
When you accept to do it, it's whit the axe legion, my guess is that since the arrow legion belonged to your sibling, it follow is/her will a little?
That's what I thought. Arrow first belonged to Akira, I assume it did it because it was their last wish, and to an extent, Arrow's only wish as well.

It really felt like half the game was removed in the story. Like there was supposed to be an equally large segment for when the villain was in charge

Tip if you are watching this for strategies against this boss - if you hit start (even briefly) to bring up your scanner, it will add the boss' life bar to the UI so you can track how close you are.
So you can see how little damage you're actually doing to the boss.
Man, Noah's Core was actually a really fun fight. It felt almost like a good bullet hell boss in 3d, and felt way more fair than Noah prime.
I applaud the people who did noah prime without the legion fusion

Huh? Really?
Same, it's a glitch
I had NO idea there were multiple endings! Mine was different, only slightly but in an equally impactful way
I’m know I’m not the only one who noticed how Yoseph sounds like a vampire when he summons Noah! Also, S+ ranking the Noah core on Pt. Standard was quite a struggle. Had to use the Axe Legion equipped with the slow attacks to make it easier. Same thing with the “Person of Interest” case, too.
The gameplay is like the person managed to reach the last boss in under 1 hour and skipped acquiring other legions
I guess this is the possibility of a sequel.
Platinum mentioned they have ideas to make it a trilogy, but that rests on the reception and sales of astral chain.
DerBear WRONG! That was a mistranslation. Platinum never said they have plans for a sequel.

13:01 Max? Is that you?
*looks at Yoseph* ...seriously? The Player stabbed you back and forth yet you feel nothing...but then when Akira stabs you from the back, you go "this can't be"?! Boooo... =3=
@SonyXBOX Nintendo mmm...thats true =w=
Bruh, the player isnt connected to it so they cant even touch him
being assimilated, it put Akira on the same plane of existence as Yoseph, that's why they can interact with him when the player can't.
His blade didn't cut deep enough.
Damn I loved playing this game. I can't play anymore cause I had to sell my switch due to money shortage
While I loved the game, am I the only one who was left confused after it was all done? There was not a single thing answered in the story. The longer the story went on for, the more questions that were raised ended up never getting answered.
It depends what answers you’re looking for
A lot of it is implied
This game is like a mix of jojo and persona
It's EVA, Metal Gear Rising, Jojo, Devil May Cry, and Persona all thrown into a blender and out came Astral Chain.

@@bucket9486 THAT. DAMN. ONE SHOT ATTACK...
I fucking loved the one shot attack. It was cool as shit, like a Thanos snap.
Wait the that’s the 3 heads money power and wisdom
Again. It’s stupid that the protagonist is silent. It robs the story of what can be amazing dialogue. 🙄
So now I just see it as absolute laziness when you can customize a character and the developers decided to make them a silent protagonist. Just hire one man and one woman to voice them both and give them a voice in the whole game.
@@PirateKingBoros The thing is they did that but well I guess they only did the voice for the siblings. At least give Asuka or Hikari Howard a voice and character development too. Is it bad that someone who doesn't play video games anymore can even bust up some dialogue for a silent character? At any rate I forgot to mention the part where Asuka in his/her mind corrects Jena involving the Legions as she would say "Unfortunately if I am to stop Yoseph, the Legions are my only chance against him, but you know that already do you Jena."
VanishEclipse4867
