Another masterpiece by Tom Hanks. His movies really can change the perception about life. A feel good movie 'A man called OTTO'
My wife demanded I go see this movie, I did not put up a large fight and eventually did so and so glad I did. Tom is top notch in every way.
Same here. My spouse went with friends. I was tired and stayed home. He insisted I go to the matinee the next day. I'm glad I went.
It's been many years since a movie trailer appealed to me enough to actually get me in to the theatre, but this one did and the movie definitely didn't disappoint. It was a wonderful combination of touching moments and laugh out loud comedy. It's not often you can find a movie that can have you crying one moment and laughing the next. The cast were all wonderful and I found that Mariana absolutely shone in her role. Bravo!
I'm going to see this over the Whale. This seems more promising.

Just saw this movie after losing my brother. Not sure if it was the best or worst time to see the film with my family, but it was truly beautiful and everyone in it was fantastic. Tom Hanks is always solid but the supporting characters all had their moments to shine too.
I saw this movie week ago. I love Tom Hanks and have not been disappointed with a movie he's made yet and I got to say I did not leave the theater with dry eyes. I was crying so much when the movie was over, so of you go see it make sure you have tissues with you.
MARIANA was so kind. Bringing food to Otto. That's what we Mexicans do. Share our food. I always cook extra to share. Tom Hanks is great

Anyone could have that grumpy neighbor like Otto, but you never really understand what that person is going through.. wouldn’t hurt to reach out once in a while. Having that neighbor like Marisol is a blessing

I went to see A Man Called Otto a few days ago- fantastic! I didn’t know it was a crying movie, so it was lucky I’d grabbed napkins for the popcorn, because I was weeping throughout the ENTIRE movie! It hit my heart so exactly and so deeply, it is definitely a movie I’m going to want to own, if it’s not on one of my too-many streaming services.
I'm at the age where I avoid any movie that's a drama now. I'm so fed up with crying in movies 😂

The original Swedish movie and the book En man som heter Ove (a man called Ove) is one of the best movies and books ever. I have not seen the new American version because I’m a little put off by them tampering with a masterpiece. I might warm up to it sooner or later. I mean it is Tom Hanks.
Please. I remember Tom Hanks going all the way back to "Bosom Buddies" with Peter Scolari, which was hilarious. I feel like we've grown old together... he is a bit older than me, though.

@@JohnDoe-jh5yr I don't think I'll shred the clutch. I've driven stick before and stalled the car when starting but didn't grind gears. just haven't gotten totally proficient. a hill stop/start seems daunting.
My boyfriend taught me how to drive stick in his car at college. Many hills. Me petrified of the cars stopped behind me. And when I finally mustered up courage to go, I would hear him say through gritted teeth, "Don't. Pop. The. Clutch!" 40 years later I still don't let him forget.
This movie is beyond wonderful. I'm getting chills thinking about it. EVERYONE! GO! SEE! IT!
Wife and I watched "A man called Otto" a few nights ago.
Brilliant movie with serious emotional portions. Both funny and sad.
Of course Mr. Hanks (Tom) did a fabulous job portraying the elder Otto.
But the actress who portrayed Marisol (Mariana Treviño) did an excellent job also.
True, every word. A really great, entertaining motion picture. Want to watch it two or three times a yeAr, if not more.

I loved the movie and was crying at the end. Unfortunately, we saw it the first week it came out and there were only a couple other people in the theater. I’ve noticed this to be the trend lately. People would rather stay at home and watch a movie. I love going to the theater, always have! 🥰

My great aunt raised me. As she became blind in one eye, she quit driving at night. She was 66 and I was 10 when she taught me how to drive a standard automobile. First she let me sit in the car and go through the gears w/o the engine running. I did that as often as I liked. Then she taught me how to back up, then we test drove on the highway (US #1)|. But whenever she rode with me she complained if I went 30 mph. That was so fast to her. Good memories.

Love Tom Hanks.I watched the original Swedish movie of “Otto” on prime which was good with an unknown actor. Hanks always adds another believable dimension to his roles to over shadow others.
Rolf Lassgård is "unknown" to you perhaps....he is a very known actor in Sweden.

This movie is so very good and heart felt. You leave it feeling inspired to be a better person.
Fantastic job his son did playing him as a younger Otto. The emotional vulnerability he showed, you just felt for him and all the characters a great deal. Go see it.
Most believable display of caring for other people that is so genuine wether you want them to or not. I was feeling older Otto why don’t these people mind their own business. That’s the way life goes though too, the times you want to be left alone is when it seems others can’t not stay away, and times you wish you could find people to make plans with, no one is around and everyone has other more pressing things to do.
Seth's band has great tunes in recent times! Subtle, personal and fun.
