Big country should have become what u2 were massive shameful this band didn't reach the dizzy heights u2 did . Bc far better musicians in every department
@@petehill8885 I was referring to the shows put on by Boy Bands and the like. Especially in the case when a vocal group member goes solo yet still has a whole dance troop around him onstage.
Absolutely without doubt the greatest guitar orientated band to come out of the uk......... And quite poss the world.. Thin Liszzy weren't Too bad either... But I loved big country thru the 80 s and the 90 s and still to this day... Enjoy your rest Stuart
Love Big Country, love The Crossing and The Seer. Made their mark on me. If I may; RIP Billy Clydesdale!! Unique guy; I'm so grateful, humbled and blessed that our paths collided!! What a unique human being. From all at the fifth company boys brigade East Kilbride; rest in peace my friend. If you want blood; you've got it!!! Rest in peace brother!!!
@@sheldontapp3769 Hi Sheldon. Yes bud, lets not. The dreaded second album. Will it be as good or will it bomb!!! In my opinion, Steeltown was one of their best albums. Scots folk descended on the town and everything was ok, until it went a bit tits...the work dried up etc. I believe there is still a large percentage of scots folk, ancestry etc associated with this wonderful town. this is why i appreciate the art of music in its greatest form the lead, and rythem guitar the bass and the drums on the break down oh my God gifted group of musicans that only come together like this every other 25 years one of the best
I love your comment davidpenny800, couldn't agree more. I think this is my favorite Big Country performance. Stuart is perfection, from his voice to his face to his body. He must be the absolute most beautiful man I've ever laid eyes on. I think I'll love him to the day I die. I still cry thinking about him leaving us and why. It sucks that the US didn't embrace BC the way they did U2. I just don't get it. No other music can compare.
INWARDS is the BEST...... One of the best songs I have ever heard and ever will... This ending, well actually the entire song is so BITCHEN...... Pity the People in the States that never followed Big Country like I did... Believe me I tried to make my friends see the light but alas, most of them are LOST.... NOT I.....
It’s got to be 40th Anniversary on American Radio this Spring. I remember busing to Cross Country high school Meets. I had a newly minted “Walkman.” I had my Cassette Tape. My Walkman had “Reverse Play” so I just zoned out after the 3.5 mile trail race, to This. It was Great. That was Spring, 1983.
from the skids to big country the big man upstairs is listening to working for the yankey dollar and fields of fire and loving it move over bono god has his favorite son and by fuck he could play r.i.p stuart

This was the most perfect live performance I have ever seen.No background dancers, no special effects just an incredible band at its best!

No one gets the Barrowlands bouncing like BC!!
Saw Ocean Colour Scene at the Barrowlands once n they came close.
