Hello, i truly appreciate the information. I have a mini WARING Convection that trips the braker but all elements and the timer control are good, do you think the energy control may be bad?
I have a Kenwood cooker with a dual grill issue. I've watched your vids but still confused. When I try to use the whole grill, only the outer area heats up and gets red. Not the inner. If I use just the inner grill ie wavy lines that heats up fine, it's only when I try to use the whole grill that it won't all fully work. Will this be the thermostat probe that's faulty
I was called out to a job where their Neff fan oven with grill element keeps tripping their RCD after a couple of minutes. Insulation resistance on supply circuit is fine. However, using an Earth leakage clamp meter on the meter tails and then switching on the fan oven the measured earth leakage steadily buils up to around 22mA then the RCD trips. Tried this on the grill only and builds to around 19mA then stablises. These readings are for the total earth leakage for the electrical installation.
@@How-to-repair Hi, I will go back and turn every other circuit off apart from the oven and put my clamp meter on the meter tails and try the oven again.
Hi, just wondering if anyone can tell me whether a free standing oven with separate top oven/grill will have a bottom element in the top oven? The top oven on my Hotpoint HUD61k only heats up to 170c and never reaches the top temperature of 220c. After watching a few of your videos I have gathered its probably not the thermostat and is possibly the bottom element, but there is no visible sign of a bottom element, unless its housed below the metal panel of the top oven bottom. The top double grill element seems to work fine and both turn bright red when the grill is activated.
Hi there, I would like to ask you how can I get the diagram for my oven Baumatic Mod : BOMM608X TYPE: MRO5 I mess up with cables for the lower element. Many thanks.
Thank you bud I am lost, replaced the element ( Duel ) Because the Grill was going on and off, Couldn't grill Cheese! New Element, now where do I look? Bottom oven and top oven still work. But just the Grill doesn't inside the top oven. Fan etc no issues.
I tested the insulation resistance today on a neff oven fan element between the terminals and the earth / metal casing of the element and obtained a reading of 0.71 Mega Ohms. If this was a cable then you would replace the cable. The fan oven has been tripping the RCD fairly regularly recently so surely 0.71 Ohms is too low a reading and the elemnent needs replacing. Before I removed the element I turned all circuits in the house off apart from the oven and turned the oven on and with an earth leakage clamp meter around the meter tails observed the leakage current steadily rise to aroung 19mA and then fall back down as the oven heated up after around 5 minutes or so. If all other circuits had been turned on then the leakage current would have been higher and the RCD would have tripped. Am I correct in assuming that the fan element is faulty ?
From the way you are describing it I would say yes, remember that an element can work for 3 or 4 minutes, and then the resistance starts to go higher because the inner core is breaking down under heat so I would replace it and have a great Christmas and a happy New Year. glad we could help you @user-uu3pg4ij7w this is for you ruclips.net/user/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. I think you are referring to the selector switch this is located normally on the opposite side to the thermostat and will be an electrical switch which has many wires attached to it

Is it possible to clean the selector switch with contact cleaner? Great video very helpful.

Hi David, sometimes you may have a combined earth leakage which goes above the RCD level

Excellent video buddy, plain & simple explanation 👍

Sir I have a question ❓
Where is tomer switch for this oven
