Miku guitar skills have progressed where she can call and reply to Misa and Kanami riffs. Talk about a triple-string treat to the ears! And of course, Akane's awesome drumming and Saiki's soaring vocals just makes the whole collaboration of their individual sounds perfection.
If I had NEVER seen Band Maid or any J- Rock band and this song was my first encounter I would think " OMG, WTF...Not only are they really playing this, but they're REALLY good too ?!...Why haven't I ever heard them before ? " Yeah...well Freedom live was my first song in '21 and I've been hooked since ! I hope they play this in Yokohama ! ♥️
I damn near wore the grooves out on my cd by having this on repeat in my car for several days. The sonic hooks in "Youth" are fantastic and the twin vocals really shine, but then Band-Maid hits you with a funky bass breakdown and a scorching guitar solo. The hook is set deep and there is no escape.

*Kobato is late on every measure. They need to take away the guitar from her or turn off her amp.* This throw away song is terrible. It goes no where. Tōno's tone is scratchy, terrible sounding. And that solo had way too many out of scale notes. Her playing is mediocre. If it were not for their sexualized cosplay maid costumes, this band would never have made it.
