The only thing this comment section shows is that there are a ton of people that think they know about pools complaining about something they are not serious about buying. Having had 2 previous in ground pools built... 40k sounds like a deal to me and I am currently looking at a property without a pool that's a great candidate for a container pool.

I Love this!!! Omg Seriously. Icve been looking around for ideas with shipping container homes and found this!!! I used to build, inspect and correct boats made.of acrylic and fiberglass. It was Awesome. Ever thought about setting a shop in Florida?! Totally worth the thought! I'm thinkng mof container homes on stilts do flooding issues. Throw a boathouse look to it complete with emergency boat Just incase it Does flood. Can't hurt :)

Mmmm? Great concept but i think a bit on the pricey side, but i do understand the amount labour, materials and logistics involved to complete such a project. We will be moving abroad soon and will be buying a shipping container to move most of our things so its a great idea for what to do with it afterwards.

Honestly keeping it an above ground pool would still be cool, above ground pools are lower maintenance anyways

Do the pools heat up much from the sun? We live in Yeppoon so it’s always around 28 degrees minimum.
No, it does not affect the temperature as fiberglass itself is very insulating. If the pool is in full sun during the summer, the water will heat up regardless of the metal container. We offer a dual-system heat pump that will cool the water to your desired temperature for hotter climates.
is it possible to join the 2 half cut containers together to increase the width, removing the centre panels?

What if you want the pool semi-inground??
Our pools need to breath but can be partially recessed.
Would be concerned about the efficiency and longevity of that heat pump as they generally need at least 300 to 500 mm of clear air space around them. I don't think there is sufficient ventilation when installed inside. Would be better to have the heat pump external to the container.

It generally looks very deep with no significant shallow ends or a zoned off section were a child could play with reduced risk of slipping into the deep.

companies charge way too much for these things a used 40 foot container is 4k and they want 50k+ for basically a self contained above ground pool with a bunch of compromises
Too bad you went with a sand filter instead of a cartridge filter.
With the way our taxes and insurances just keep stacking up against any start up small business it's very hard to do anything cheap or competitive it's probably well and truly above 10k for the materials and labour in which case he has to price it double in order to make any money be lucky to sell 1 a month..

More expensive than normal in the ground pools, and not very practical to dive into and esthetically not pleasing to the eye..... I prefer shipping container used to turn into homes instead. Good luck in your endeavour tho.
