      You are an ignorant immature little girl...the whole idea of modernization is good thing is something that has been brainwashed into you by something called planned obsolescence, a concept reinforced through television that may apply to the new Whooper Cheeseburger but doesn't apply to 2000 year old system of faith.

    Pastor Bryant is a Great General in Gods Army, An extraordinary preacher, that has a way with trendy topics, politics, diverse cultures & main stream issues. Hes not afraid to tackle the subjects that most feel they have to be politically correct on. I applaud him for his approach to reach the unreachable, the masses. Look there will always be critics, thats a good thang I think it keeps you sharp, clearly Pastor Bryant is not afraid to go where no man has before. The People.

      " Great General in Gods Army"
      Why does god need an army? Seems wholly redundant & self serving. Isn't there a sectarian terrorist group in Africa called god's army or something? Isn't that what Hezbollah preports to be?

      I totally understand where you're coming from. And i agree, based off this sermon because I haven't heard any others. It's funny though; I never hear all of these objections when the father is molesting these lil alter boys. And they are ONLY moved around in the church as a punishment. He preached nothing but the truth and God himself is directing this powerful man to spread the powerful word of God. We must not take things too personal if anything we must listen and learn to apply it to our own lives because I honestly believe that it will help us all. God sure does have a way of getting to us all!!

    • @ShaquanShenell
      @ShaquanShenell 10 лет назад +3

      Jesus said it is not what goes into a man but what comes out of a man. If he was to go to God himself and repeat everything he dais, do you think God would be please with every single word that came out of his mouth? Does it line up with the God or the world? We cannot mix both the world and the bible in the same message. The Lords tells us what type of speech is acceptable and unacceptable. Every idle word shall be judged. Its biblical.

      tre2e To be honest with, no I am not one of those "Skirt wearing strict Christians" However, I do believe that Pastor Jamal spoke the truth on many levels. I did not just focus on one thing that he said I had focused on many levels of his message. Everyobody won't agree however some people will agree! God bless!

    • @wilfreddennis8440
      @wilfreddennis8440 10 лет назад

      I also believe that he could have said some things in taste. However, he said what was on his mind and at the end of the day it is not up to us to judge it is God's job to judge him. Trust me if he was wrong and if God did approve of his message then God will deal with him on a spiritual level.

    I did watch the entire sermon. Here is my take on it.
    I am ashamed of the way the crowd reacted when he used the term "hoes." Did he take pause with his congregations reaction to the use of the word? It's even more sad the majority of the congregation saw nothing wrong with him using that term. They all reacted as if it possessed some kind of righteousness. He wants to point out how so many emasculated men (in his opinion) are in church.
    It's a shame to have emasculated men but its okay to refer to women as hoes.
    Who is the enemy of the black family? Enemy No. 1 is any person that can denegrate any unit of the black family structure; be it the denegration of the child(ren); husband and wife; the single father/mother; the grandparent raising a grandchild; or the uncle/aunt stepping up for an absent parent.
    He used the term "baby momma" (just as distasteful as baby daddy). These terms deny a person their rightful status within the family structure. It's child's mother/father. This is how you begin to reclaim the black family, speak life over it. You don't claim to be concerned about the black family structure when you have baby mommas/daddies and hoes.
    Outside of that, how can he compare the crimes of Boko Harim to Chicago street crime? How can he saw that Boko Harim is the same enemy as the American Justice System?
    Why should it matter is more and more, younger and younger African-American females are lesbians, you call them "hoes" and "baby mommas", that's what's acceptable in your world.
    Did anyone bother to check his facts about the New Deal and the black family? Well, I did. First of all blacks were not considered in the New Deal. Only 3% of the participants in the New Deal were African-American (by hook or by crook).
    So what was the point of his sermon? It definitely was not saving or rebuilding the Black Family, not the edification of women or men (since so many of those in church are emasculated). I think it was to hoop and holler supposedly in the name of the Lord. It's amazing how people will follow someone simply because they are told "God told me ...", "God said...", or "the Bible says..."
    I'm sorry God may have said such and such to you; however if you are delivering the word with baby momma/daddy, or hoes in the message, it will go right over my head. I don't think God sends messages with those words.
    Then again, I'm more emotional than logical. So, I'm probably over thinking it.

      This is real talk sis. Check my post up top here. Here's another fact check for you. Dude is a fraud. Dude clearly said that the quote "Little girls with dreams become women with vision" came to him and he posted on his IG. Of the best things I learned while earning my bachelor and master degrees was the consequence of plagiarism. He banks on the fact that the people in his church are unread, and they will mindlessly follow him. It's so sad. Go to this link and learn of the QUEEN who actually said this. jordantimes.com/queen-says-girls-with-dreams-become-women-with-vision. Since dude spent the majority of this sermon talking about how wonderful women are, why didn't he give credit the the QUEEN who actually penned this quote. I can't with this dude.

    This was a good sermon.There is a lot of truth to his words and the truth hurts. In the last days their will be many antichrist. This man is preaching the word of God and giving people hope. And that is something so many people need today. The news shows everyday how people give up on life and hurt others. He is human and humans make mistakes. I have mad respect for this preacher because he could be doing anything else, but he made a commitment to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and when you do that you will have adversaries. The devil is a liar and he is here to kill, steal and destroy you if you let him. Believe me he is on his job 247/365.

    This is a true here and now Word. We live in the days where there is no discreteness. You watch or listen to any type of media you hear all kind of verbiage and trash that is just not of God. So how can a pastor get the attention of the masses without spreaking to them from a familiar place. Listening to this word he was not speaking out of context the truth is the truth. I applaude him for being bold enough to speak the truth. At the end of the day he is a man, just because he is a pastor does not mean that he should be judged the way that he has been. GREAT WORD!!

      What did Tamar see for her husband?
      What did Rachel see for Jacob?
      He saying the side chick and/or the wife is suppose to look past his shortcomings, no matter how bad, and see what?
      Isn't that everything he's preaching against?
      A lot of what he said is wrong for a preacher to do, and for a sermon to be about, is exactly what he does...just saying

Instead of finding fault with him or just focusing on that one line take the message in as a whole ,meditate on it and read the scriptures he talked about .

    I attend this church and that is just how Pastor Bryant is. You have to understand your audience and how to reach them. The term "hoes" was part of a song, which most people in the younger generations, in the city area, are familiar with. It was an attention grabber...the message behind it is what counts. Open yourself up.

    Withholding a position taken on Rev. Bryant's use of profanity in the pulpit and/or its objectification of women, I am extremely happy to see the discussion that it has caused. The more we as black women and men discuss and dialogue about "our" relationship or lack thereof with each other, the closer we get to healing it and being a true family again. 8"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.… Matthew 5:8-9 Sometimes you have to stir up the mess to get it out of the pot. Our God is so amazing, He can use the most baffling of things/situations to get our attention and then "teach us." I am open and appreciate the lesson.

    Here is where I disagree. If some, not all, in the black community would stop committing crimes or stop doing ignorant things that would put them in the system, then some things can and will change. We cannot blame the system for the crimes that people commit. If parents kept a tighter grip of their children or did what Proverbs 22:6 called us to do then we would not have to worry about the prison system as much. Let's be honest, everyone is not doing what they are suppose to be doing biblically. Its so easy to put the blame on others instead of taking the blame ourselves.

    Honest question...he's preaching from Matthew 27 here. Take a peek at it if you have to before considering my question. My question is should he have zeroed in on Pilate's wife in a chapter like this? Follow up question: did anybody hear the gospel in this sermon? In this very chapter, Jesus is being crucified. Should he have made women (or Pilate's wife) the star of the sermon and not Jesus? Does Mr. Bryant's sermon miss the point of the text?

    Pastors although are human beings and are not ABOVE ANYONE ELSE in the church, they are in front of the people to speak as a teacher, an example, because they (supposedly) have studied the religious texts more in depth than the people listening. Now, using a pop culture reference in a sermon is not uncommon, however it doesn't make it right. Whether the people in the congregation listen to the song or not, during this time in church should be the time when you are focused on the lesson of the religious texts. This Pastor and any other teacher should be more of an example. Like any teacher to student relationship. I don't put any pastor, rabbi or imam over anyone else, nor would I get into an argument of "my pastor" this and "my pastor" that. What he did was wrong. I'm sure his vocabulary is much more extensive that he could have chosen better words to use to get his point across. But he knew what he said was wrong, otherwise, he wouldn't have apologized before he said. Realize he's a human being and he didn't use the best judgement when he decided to use this phrase.

    Ya'll missed the point altogether! He was saying that Pilate's wife had insight for him as most wives have insight about their husbands. He was on point. He was saying "These Hoes ain't loyal" he was talking about the side piece..which men and women can be side pieces.... Put your spiritual ears on and stop taking bits and pieces of the message.

      Charlotte, two things in reference to your statement about Pilate's wife... didn't she get that insight from God? Furthermore, wouldn't the insight be, for, Pilate himself?
      Secondly, how is warning her husband of an innocent man, be disloyal?

  • @adonisadams
    @adonisadams 10 лет назад

    Ok people I just listened to the message in its entirety.. a few things I must say it amazes me that we jump on the "Ho's Aint Loyal" part.. But the reality is most people are really mad that he addressed the femininity of "sanctifies Sissies" comment men in the church and why real men dont wanna come..HE actually gave accolades to Godly women by letting Men know stop getting caught up into the worldly women but leave the Godly women alone just to find out that the "Ho's aint loyal" out there. But Chris Brown calls women Ho's directly but we request and buy his music. This man makes reference to the context of poor decisions and choosing the right woman and we get upset... Finally -- a little background on them who may not know about Preaching, Churches and Pastoring-- Jamal Bryant is a multi-generational preacher however He has the wisdom and charisma to know that he is Pastoring and Preaching to a First generational church (meaning most of His members are the first to be saved and "Churched" in their families) making the message relevant to the hearers, as he grew that church understanding this pop culture messaging and relevance.. His message fits the audience who aligns their mentality and lifestyle with pop culture, look at the response the same women arguing about the context knew exactly the reference of the song and words.. If it was not relevant they would have not been shouting and clapping but looking like "where did it get that from". So be upset with him, however he is preaching to the world but he is Pastoring a generation of pop culture and people are being changed and growing under his messages...Don't hate on Him but PRAY for Him if you feel he is out of bounds with His messages and preaching... for the Bible People please hear and reference this message in your BIBLE - Paul Said "I cant be all things to all people but let me some things to a few that I shall win many" - So he is be some things to a few (pop culture Christians) that He can win many !!!

    Honestly, I can understand the negative and positive sides.
    1. He does pull out the text a portion of the scripture that many of us would think is irrelevant. So I do believe Pilot's wife was a relevant discussion. (Men should that a woman is your help meet and that means she is active in your everyday life and choices.
    2. "These hoes ain't loyal," is truly used a quote from a song. Why should the man of God not know those that labor amongst them? You have to be able to have wisdom in the secular as well as the spiritual realms. If the only thing we can do is get caught up in his choice of words, then we missing the message.
    3. Women are often seen as volatile, but most times they are vital and life can be better for that man if they listen to THEIR woman, because the outside woman is there as a DISTRACTION!
    4. He opened with explaining that a house can not, be taken, unless you take hold of the strong man....WELL TOO OFTEN THESE MEN HAVE BEEN TAKEN A HOLD OF.....so let's get out of complaining and criticizing and DO SOMETHING POSTIIVE FOR THAT WOMAN (you don't want to be referenced as a HOE and that man that has LOST FOCUS)
    5. ALL LOVE......

    This sermon totally make sense and biblical sense. I expect non Christians to judge Dr.Byrant but for so called Christians folks on here to do the same is very disappointing and sad. If u don't agree that's one thing..everyone is entitled to there opinion. I think ppl personally attacking him is crossing the line tho,yes he cheated on his wife in the past and he has been open about that. But that's one of the many reasons why Jesus died on cavalry's hill,he knew then that people would mess up and fall,yes even leaders & preachers..but thank the lord we can fall and get back up again! Grace and Mercy y'all..

    haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and person who stirs up conflict in the community. - Proverbs 6:16-19

    The truth is he has his faults, but it isn’t in preaching the gospel. He wasn’t even talking about a woman at all. He was talking about Pontius Pilate disloyalty to the good advice he receive from his wife. He was making the point when Godly men don’t listen to their God given wife most of the time they find themselves in trouble that could have been avoided. The HOES that he said aren’t loyal were the husbands. He even made a facial gesture suggesting “we ought to take it from a guy who knows firsthand. He didn’t have to say it to make his point, but he did. Anyone who is offended didn’t even bother to listen to the whole message or even the context in which it was said. Some people are always going to hear the one thing that could be controversial and blow it out of proportion. Some of these people don’t go to church and aren’t Christians. Stop letting the devil set fire in the church and the body of Christ. It hurts everyone and helps no one.

    Hypocrisy is such an ugly thing...this Godly man is no different than any of us...we sit in church and holler and praise but soon as the service is over you turn on the radio and sing the same lyrics...or worse lol...He said Saints forgive him before he said it....that's called a disclaimer. He has a young following and so he used phrases or lyrics to convey a msg. Uptight church folks are too funny but if you step on their shoe out in the street they will cuss you out something terrible smh lol. Stop taking things so literal and listen to the msg. Keep doing your thing Jamal B

      And only God will judge, but tell me what does it mean when the bible tells us to rebuke our fellow brethren? In Proverbs, Timothy, Luke, etc...yes we are to do it in love to our brothers and sisters, yet what are we to do if they're still acting in rebellion?
      Yes we are to try and continue to help them with rebuke, in a loving manner, yet sometimes direct with no sweetner.

    I thought that was RuPaul saying that. If you don't love yourself, how in the world can you love somebody else? He says on his show. He has a good movie not in drag female dress. He plays a camp counselor to a group of rich kids their parents sent them to to try and get their lives together. One actor as a reporter is from a Birmingham Alabama high school. One of my favorites from my hometown Birmingham is Nell Carter from her sitcom. I could see that for me with so many episodes. I could also see Clifton who is the seventh day Adventist church like my mother television show called That's My Momma. More of those shows could come back. Condolences Rice from White House father's church is around corner a few blocks from kappa fraternity house too.
    They're after me.
