  • I get a lot of questions regarding my helmet setup. Although it might seem like a rather "busy" helmet with lots of little attachments, it's really just a simple combination of important recording equipment, protection, and style, with a little dash of super glue and velcro to help pull it off!

    About Me:
    My name is Jamie, but most people around the field call me P-Dog. I live and play airsoft in British Columbia, Canada. Like many who play airsoft, I grew up playing paintball when I was young and years later, stumbled into the world of slinging bb's. I've fallen in love ever since. I have a passion for making videos and entertaining airsoft content. Airsoft has absolutely become that avenue for me to express my creativity and I hope you enjoy all the videos on my channel! If you love HPA airsoft guns, airsoft guides, airsoft discussions, or the odd sniping video here and there, be a pal and subscribe!

    When in doubt, use a safety tether just in case something breaks off the helmet!

    How would you go about painting or getting a camo pattern like green or tan with your setup? All of my stuff is CADPAT

      I'd check out some guides on RUclips, but I'd imagine spray painting the helmet green, then putting some material (cloth or something like leaves) over top to block the next colour you choose to spray in random areas
      Depends on the pattern. But that's usually how people do it, spray a base colour first, then cover random spots and spray again with a new colour. This is typically how to mix colours togther in a "camo" pattern. Just make sure to give LOTS of time to dry in between layers!

    Do you find your GoPro overheats in the case ? Mine was shutting down several times last year, to the point where i bought a second case which i will drill vent holes to try and eleviate that issue. Funny enough, my DJI, recording for the same length of time, had zero issues with overheating in its water proof case 🤷

      There's definitely many factors that play into what causes overheating, but from my experience playing in the middle of summer and even during those big event games that last hours before break, I've had no overheating issues.
      GoPro's tend to suck a lot of power, especially when recording above 1080p. There's a chance that I eliminated overheating issues by not recording above 1080p (recording above 1080p in summer makes me nervous for that reason). I also charge while recording and remove the internal battery. There's a possibility that the internal battery gets too hot when the GoPro has a high power demand, forcing the GoPro to shut itself off?
      The (clear and NOT painted) protective case probably traps just enough heat to put the GoPro over the edge when it has a high power demand on the internal battery. Otherwise, with regular use and unprotected, I bet it wouldn't overheat because I assume GoPro has good QA 😅
      Hope this helps!

      That makes so much sense about the internal battery. I never thought about that ! Im going to try your suggestion as well as recording at a lower resolution (gives longer recording time too). Thanks for the reply 🙏🏻

    How do you where the ear pro with a mesh mask?

    • @PrairieDogAirsoft
      @PrairieDogAirsoft  Месяц назад

      @@PowerAverage The trick is to find ear pro that has really soft padding
      I put my mesh mask on first, and when I place my ear pro on, I barely feel it resting on the mesh mask which is partly against my ears
