I think this is the richest most beautiful voice I have ever heard, in my 60 years as an opera locver. The emotion and sensitivity she brings to the interpretation are unmatched, in my opinion. Her performance of this aria never leaves me with a dry eye.
It’s so very sad to read the previous comments wishing her well and happy birthday, that she has now gone, but her beautiful voice and personality live on, with these wonderful clips. Long live Montsy.
Me cago en ti lo que se menea joder!!!! Que grande la Caballé, que grande fue. Y cuando tenía el día, cuando tenía el día....nadie la superaba. Grande entre las grandes y en muchos aspectos técnicos y musicales, y siento decirlo a quien no lo comparta, mejor que callas y hasta callas lo dijo. Sin duda, las dos más grandes del siglo 20, porque de lo que hay hoy, solo siento pena.
Simplemente magnífica. Ha sido y será la más grande soprano nunca, esa manera de colorear las notas, ese vibrator y su estilo único de enlazar sin apenas tomar aire (mejor uso del diafragma que he visto jamás) la hacen y la harán siempre la mejor. Callas era buena, muy buena pero la Caballé era mejor. Ese concierto es en Barcelona en el Liceo en 1972. Véase también su versión del Mio Babbino Caro en el mismo concierto. Tuve la suerte de oirla cantar el papel de Tosca hace mucho tiempo ya. Cuando oigo otra cantante me refiero siempre en su perfecta interpretacion . Caballe es una de las mejores sopranos del mundo. ¿No has pensado que la calidad del audio no es muy buena?...Con respecto al final ella lo hace ligado porque es una de las pocas que puede...No como la Tebaldi que ni queriendo le daba el fiato!!!
If we could get a soprano who could hold her breath this long as our Caballe, with Callas' acting ability and power like she had in the famous covent garden version in I believe 64? Please correct me if I'm wrong! I think opera would be ruined! As no one would ever be able to reach such heights again! See we live in a world nowadays whereby you cant say anything without offending anyone, for me right now her technique is flawless and the breath control at the final note! But the acting meh! I went to see my first opera a month ago Madama Butterfly, was good but oh how I'd give my right arm and more to have watched the greats! Sorry guys but Callas wins for me everytime! But Caballe u mastered technique! Rest in peace my Spanish soprano!
Вообще очень многие певцы ,даже известные часто поют или низко ,или выше оркестра(задрано).Кабалье можно сказать единственная певица,которая поет точно по высоте звука оркестра или ф-но.И все это исключительно за счет правильного владения дыхания.Звук ее голоса ни чему не прижать,он льется как-будто ручеек в котором нет преград. А этой манерой пения мало кто владеет,можно сказать единицы.

Si a ti te parece esto cancion española, es porque no has oido canción española en tu vida. Y opera, habras oido mucha, pero lo que es escucharla, no la has escuchado nada.

She was not human. She used to take a breath every know and then just to pretend she was, but she did not neeed it.
