@@citygirlhomestead Kris, your warning about the hot chocolate syrup going "up and out" was very important. When my 6 siblings and I were kids, our mom started to make a pan of chocolate fudge (the old fashioned way) with several of us kids standing beside the stove to watch. Just as the mixture came to a boil, Mom turned away from the stove for just a second, and the chocolate mixture "exploded," with much of it hitting one of my younger sisters on the upper arm and shoulder. She was just a toddler and was standing on a kitchen chair. We spent most of that night at the Emergency Room while the doctors worked on treating her. The hot syrup had caused her shirt to be embedded in her skin and had to be removed layer by layer with scalpel and tweezers. She was in a lot of pain for a very long time and had a big ugly scar there for the rest of her life. Blessings from your Hoosier great-grandma friend Kathy. ❤. (I'm here every night watching even though I don't comment much.)

Loved this video honey! It was so nice seeing Tom there with you learning to do this also! This looks like a nice chocolate syrup! Yum! I also think I might try to add some liqueur in some? Don't you think a little coffee liqueur would be tasty?!

This looks awesome. Could I add cinnamon to the sauce? Especially for ones I plan on using for hot chocolate? We like our hot chocolate with spices. Cinnamon, hot pepper, and cloves are what I use mostly. Adjusted for everyone's tastes of course.

I have been thinking to get a steam canner. I'm still doing the water bath method and then the pressure canning.. What can you use the steam canner for? Just jams jellies etc?

I also got a steam canner early in the summer on sale and I totally love it! It takes less water and is so easy to use! It was a game changer for my canning! I think it only cost me around $50 at Farm and Fleet on sale.

Another yummy video! Just add sprinkles and nuts for an easy ice cream dessert bar! Gotta love that! I do this in the summertime for family get togethers… of course they want my milk chocolate brownies for the base… Skys the limit! Hugs, dear friend… and bye Tom😁

Ball / Mason jars are not supposed to go in the oven. According to the Ball's website they are not tempered for the oven.

I hadn't heard that before thank you for that information. I keep my oven at 200 when doing that not supposed to go above 212. but really thanks for the information I never knew
