Overlanding Pisgah State Forest in Ford Ranger (Day two) - Max Patch to Rich Mountain Fire Tower

downsouth-expe... After completing Hurricane creek trail and found a campsite we traveled to Max Patch Overlook. From there we headed to Rich Mountain to ultimately climb to the Fire Tower Lookout station.
The Ford Ranger did absolutely awesome throughout the trail. The long swinging forrest roads were made easy with the rangers great handling, eibach suspension, and Yokohama tires.
If you are thinking about taking on this adventure for yourself in a Ford Ranger or any vehicle I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to get away and see some amazing forestry.
Pisgah is a place I will never forget and neither would you. This overlanding experience has fueled me to plan and conquer as many places my Ford Ranger will take me!
