Thank you guys for putting out another fun, entertaining, and awesome video 👍👍, I’m always eagerly waiting to see a video from you guys. Can’t wait to see more progress ,God Bless you all
I enjoyed watching you and Vern playing musical cars. I fear the parts situation is only going to get worse. You mentioned the Summit store in Georgia and that is the subject of today's story time. I live about 20 miles for the Summit store in McDonough and years ago while they were still building it they started taking applications for employees. I applied for the maintenance position and got an interview with the maintenance manager. I toured the whole building from top to bottom and I think I impressed him with my knowledge of the fire and HVAC systems. Things were going well until we started talking salary and he asked what I wanted. When I told him, his face went blank and I said to myself, interview over. I never got a come back call but I did get a free Summit hat.. Well give the Rust Queen and Vern my regards and keep the videos coming.
Always enjoy your stories, Jerry! Not sure what is going on in the Georgia location. Used to be I would order before 5 PM and parts would arrive the next day. Now all I get is the parts are coming from afar. Summit is my go to place first, then Speedway or Jegs, mostly because of the fast service. Hope you and Jackie are feeling better and keep the stories coming!
Glad to see ya back on the '64! Short on exhaust manifolds? In all your 'jewel-in-the-rough' yard searches you've never ran across any factory cast headers for '64-'66 A bodies? The front tubes on both sides were slightly longer but the other six were equal length. Those you could install with the motor in place. I actually switched to Hedmen so the collectors were further down on the firewall/floorpan and easier to uncork for runs. I used a long punch and framing clamp on those brake springs. I was lucky enough to disassemble a set before re-installed so I knew there wasn't any keepers, springs did that. Know you didn't like losing the footage-I for one feel the same way on any and all Barracuda footage.
Found a set of A body headers, Ray. Mopar parts are everywhere. Getting hard to keep up with what I have. Still working on the Duster. Getting close to having it road ready. The Rust Queen's Valiant wagon has the engine rebuild / modify almost ready and the torqueflite is complete ready to go. Will be back on it soon. Others as time and parts allow. Thanks for stopping in.
That's the kind of info we need, Garry! I have a set of 340 manifolds sitting under a work bench. Would beat paying for a set of TTI headers for sure. We appreciate your advise and thanks for taking time to watch.
Yes they will fit. My brother put a 340 from a 71 Demon in his 64 Barracuda, using the manifolds from the Demon. The left side needed a bunch of grinding to clear the steering gear, but that was no big deal even for a 16 year old, being self taught, with VERY limited tools, a hand cranked bench grinder, an his/our first engine swap. There wasn't any help from Dad or any other adult. We just learned as we went along.
thanks for another great show guys i also have back problems hope yours get better good job pulling the engine a little pressure washing primer and paint the engine bay is gonna look awsome GOD BLESS b safe
The Chevy is as sweet inside as it is on the outside, Howard. Still trying to talk the guy into selling it. He knows what he has, lol. We appreciate you leaving us a comment, as always!
Hey Randy, it’s Vern.. I have to admit that cars are addicting.i have more than one and still want more. Even though they are all not done, it’s satisfying knowing that you have a certain on. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏻. We do this for car guys and gals like you that love cars.
I am looking for a 57 and 55 and Vern is on fire for a 55. We love tri-fives and hope to add more to the "fleet." Yep, we don't have enough years of life left to finish them all but we don't care. We just enjoy them in what ever condition they are in and enjoy working on each. If it ever becomes a job instead of fun, we will do something else. Born a hot rod nut and will die one. Cars and guitars...one can never have enough, lol. Enjoy watching your videos and the progress you make!
We were talking about that car last week. I thought about trying to free the engine and see if I can get it running. Queenie and I just watched the old video on that car. Need to show it some love for sure. You doing any more work to yours?
@@indyme2 right now I’m working on my 97 f350. Practice before I touch the 47. Made most of the wheel well on the driver fender outer. Then will go to inner. But been doing it in the house. The snow is melting so I’ll start on the f350 floor. Need this one to try and make money. But for the 47 I want to finish the front of the frame rails then find a cheap power train to make a roller. But the house will take the most time I have to do foundation work and finish pushing our main floor level. But thanks for the video will be waiting to see what you guys do.
@@indyme2 of mine didn’t have the nova clip in when I got it I would go with the mustang 2. It bolts on. But need wedge welded in to give it the angle. The problem with adding the Chevy front ends is doing all the mounts for the front end I hear. When I do the 48 pontiac for my daughter I’ll be doing the mustang front end. The other problem with think Chevy front ends is power steering box. On think a Camaro front end is it sticks out to far. But her car looks nice and complete. Also if you put them on air you can get them to drop nice and low with out having to cut out the floors with a 2 link “i think”
@@cannednolan8194 Great information. I was looking at a Mustang 2 front end recently and took measurements. He had a Volarie front end there too. Got the measurements. Just need to get under the car and take a look. Thanks!

Who knows, Diane? Parts are everywhere. Just not the parts we need, lol. As Rat Rob Bob says, we'll get there. We just haven't gotten there yet. Thanks for stopping in, Diane.

Hello to the rust queen and Vern. PS tell the rust queen I hope her back gets better soon. Take care
Lol, we need to get her a helper for sure. She is one hard working girl. Vern is a great help too. Couldn't do it without both of them! Thanks for stopping in.
Yes, Sir. We are going to put disc brakes on the front or bigger 10 inch drum brakes and a dual master cylinder for sure. It's better to have a car that won't run than one that won't stop, lol. We appreciate you stopping in at the Rust Ranch.
Talon, you are The Man! It almost seems that you and I are the only people who are interested in the Triumph. I love this car and am anxious to get started on it.
