- This is how we World Premier during quarantine! Three guys locked down in different parts of the country, using video chat to give you the FIRST LOOK at what might be the very next “Hoonicorn” project!
Check it out as I chat with Ash Thorp (Hollywood graphic artist and designer of the new Batmobile) and Brian Scotto (el Gigante and partner in HOON) about my love for 1980’s Ford Fox-Body Mustangs - Brian drops knowledge about where the designation “fox-body” comes from - and Ash gives you the behind the scenes of how he takes a bunch of crazy ideas and creates a fully stylized digitally rendered concept.

I feel like Monster would do it, Hoonigan definitely would since Ken is THE Hoonigan. Forza maybe but who knows if he'll even have Forza on his next few cars, Toyo has white logos, Ford would be hard but Ken has a real good relationship with them so possibly. I'd love to see that look with maybe a liiiittttle bit more of a visible outline on the logos

I really think is "duable" specially if we consider the fact that Ken main sponsor Monster Energy has different flavours that they sell world-wide in different cans collors (black,green, blue, blue, red, orange, purple, pink, brown, one yellow is dedicated to V.Rossi and one of them is frosty white with Chromed (M letter) Monster Energy Zero Ultra - Sugar Free ! This new 'Fox Mustang' can go excellent with the white can livery theme.. would be easy for Ken if would just talk with Monster Energy, i'm sure he can convince them specially since these Hoonicorns are one off projects ! ;0)
I’ve been following Ash for almost a decade now and watching him go from sick Metal gear solid fan art to designing the FREAKING BATMOBILE is beyond inspiring... the dude is absolutely cracked in his ability to consistently improve.

Not just anyone can drive and make it look effortless when everything feels like its trying to hurt you. Thankful he taught Lia before leaving us. She is fearless and more than likely as close to her fathers driving style as you can get. Hope to see her follow in his footsteps someday. Build the Hoonifox Lia and smash out!!!

I'd love to see it come to life with the "jetski" livery. Best looking one in my opinion especially if you want the Miami vibe for the next Gymkhana.

Looks as if this won't be coming to a reality due to Ken and ford unfortunate separation.
I don't think there's any reason he couldn't do this on his own. Ford is no longer a sponsor, yes, but that doesn't mean he can't build ford cars anymore.

I doubt Ken would sign something that constricts his love for cars in this way but corporations usually are selfish and care more about their profits and not their products

THIS IS INSANE!!! 😱😁I am an 80's kid(B-Day '79) and also my first Stang was an '88.. you TOTALLY killed it on this concept. I'm in LOVE!! I will be on the edge of my seat waiting to see this Hooning down the pavement... I would love to see a future concept of the SN95 '94-'98 platform. I currently own one of these('94) and love the curves of the generation. You guys ROCK at anything you create. Thank you so much for being my imagination come to life! This is sick. Love that they went with a fox body mustang.
Of course they did they've already made the Hoonicorn which is the best looking year Mustang in my opinion even tho the Hoonicorn is completely modified body panels and all that but they are all Fords aswell. Hoonifox is the next progression of the Hoonicars lol. This is going to be the 3rd or 4th Hoonicar of his just ballin out on us peasants that with we had the loot to build our own Hoonicorn or Hoonitruck even though they are Fords, they rip hard compared to all the non-built Ford engines out there that are blowing windows in the engine block cuz it shot a rod out without boost lol.
My all time favorite car. Couldn't be more ecstatic.

I always had a special place in my heart for the fox body, when this car is finished it will be the coolest of all time!
I love how Ash used an LX foxbody front, but kept the Iconic GT rear with the “Grid” style tail lights.
The "cheese grader" taillights have always been my favorite..

You also need to take into account the different trim levels per year. How desirable that model/trim is. For example, an 85 soft top convertible with square headlights, and an auto trans. My best friend has that exact car and it’s not worth anything for resale or collection

Man this car is like everything I love about the 80s style meets the modern age. There is just something almost magical about the 80s style where its like there are parts that are really cool and with just a few modern tweaks it is the coolest looking thing ever.

I was lucky enough to learn to drive stick shift in my dad's 1985 mustang 5.0 h.o which he later gave to me!!! My favorite car still to this day! Even a 16 yo-24yo I couldn't blow the stock motor up! Even had a 200 shot of nitrous on stock never opened block for over 2 years. Only ever issues I had were clutches, water pumps and the power steering pumps in these cars. Hell of a car I would love to see this in the real world!!!

As the owner of a 1988 Mustang GT (since 1988) I love these design iterations. Would I change certain things? Sure I would. I've explored hundreds of "what if" scenarios over the years and have left the car mostly stock with the exception of a Saleen rear wing spoiler. But we can dream, right?
I like CAD/CAM for its freedom and speed. I was fortunate to be on the periphy of the technology during the late early 1990s when I was working with Dow Plastics and the designers for their automotive clients. Exciting times for a car guy who was anything but a designer.
The one critism I had of CAD/CAM at the time was that the design seemed to lose some of its "soul" as it was leaving the screen and moved towards clay model. There seemed to be something organic that escaped in the transition between virtual and real. I wanted to step in at that stage, take the design an run it through sort of rock polisher and soften the sharp edges.
All this aside, I anticipate seeing the new monster on-screen when it's ready.😊👍
I'm so sad this car never/hasn't came to fruition yet.. it's ever sadder i won't be able to see ken rip this thing like only he could💔😔 rest in peace brother your families legacy will live on forever because of what you've accomplished 💯🌠

Well there is a reason why almost every drag car that's built uses the foxbody for a platform for building. It's super light, easy to custom fab a tube frame chassis for any application, plenty of aftermarket support, and just over all a great blank canvas to start with. Also the 93 notch backs are badass and sexy especially when it's been modified with a small wide body kit with wide rims and tires, lowered and a fast engine
So many elements taken from the DTM version of this car!
Never ceased to be amazed at how their vehicles literally look like something you would see at the checkout isle hot wheels toy car display.

You might consider a career with an actual future. Did you hear how needy and desperate that graphic designer was? He sounded very nervous about his job. Why, you ask? Well, probably because the 3D design market is oversaturated with competition. The technology is making it easier and easier for anyone to do it and when it, along with pretty much every other software-related field, is taken over by AI and then quantum computers, humans will not be able to compete and all these designers will be out of a job because AI will be doing it in a relative blink of an eye. Humans just cannot work as fast or as efficiently and only a fool would try. This is all going to happen a lot sooner than people think. The ball has begun its roll already.....
@@No-vm7go Actually, Its quite the opposite, as most design is moving towards digital design workflows there is a big need for CAD modellers (3D). The demand for good graphic designers (2D) is actually even higher, as communication design and HMI or UX becomes a bigger part in anyones life.
Your argument with AI and Quantum computing is just straight nonsense. As long as you give 101% and do what you love and do great and innovative design this is actually a pretty good career path to take. Besides Deadlines oof.

Are you going to do a spring retainers where the exhaust crosses over from the side quarter to the door, like on MotoGP bikes, so that you can pull the side pipes off really quick and swap them for resonated or straight pipes flavors?
