Well said. Everybody riding the Sopranos, but it doesn't have anything on the Wire. The depth of the characters in the Sopranos is like a puddle in the street compared to the Wire's characters. One of the best shows in television history.
This was the first thing I ever saw Idris Elba in. I was actually a prosecutor in Baltimore when they were filming The Wire, lol. I cannot stress how excellent his Baltimore street accent is! Or how accurately the show portrayed the system, from the streets to the police to the prosecutors to the politicians and then to the schools. All these years later and it's still the most brilliant show I've ever seen.
When you think about it. Stringer could have ended the whole saga with Omar by saying he already took out the ones who did it. Since Omar was cool on letting peace be after stringer said they hired it but the rest was on that person. But stringer caused the most issues in the rest of the series after this moment.
