There are guys that ride GPX bikes in the NETRA series on the east coast that i ride in. The GPX hangs with every other bike on the coarse and holds up to the beating a season of NETRA puts on bikes. So id say its viable budget option to get out there and ride
@@SketchyXC that's another $2k so your up to $9k altogether. Resale for Chinese bikes is like 50% of the value, theres just not demand. I dont doubt the bikes are pretty good, but I'm seeing a lot of used 2022 & 2023 European 300s for the same price as a gpx300 new. If your going to race or modify a bike, I'd invest in something that will hold it's value better. China can make quality stuff, they just normally choose to maximize profit by selling low quality goods.
@@SketchyXC On my old 200SX, I went from a Smart Carb to the new STIC PWK Super X 38/40mm carb. The X made the bike run like a fully built race engine with a big-bore kit. Brutal on the forearms for days. YAT
yep they are, i have had a lot of different size CCs bikes and have come back to beta 200 RE model, It is a do all bike from cross country (where it shines) to club day mx, A few clicks on the suspension and it will tailgate a 250f
That 200 X-Pro is the budget version and like Beta's, it is heavy. My STIC Super X carb'd 200SX bottom to top has more power than my '22 YZ250F. If you want to go fast, you have to ride a stock 200 like a 125 and so fun, bc you can man handle it.
@DirtBikeMagazine that GPX will fit WP Xplor forks and WP nonlinkage shocks as a direct fit zero mods needed. Internally they're the same coming from the same vendor but SZC leaves them completely crude. Have them valved and tuned to spec and they'll treat you right. I have the linkage version with WP Xplor forks and an Ohlins Flow rear shock. 400hr top end btw. Ask away on GPX's official group on what works and fits, it's great
I have a 2022 200 RE model they come standard with KYB forks and i fitted a wp trax shock i had from a ktm, I do not know how the pro model compares, but had to smile when you said It would suit ladies (girls) or new to the sport, In my Humble opinion though I would not disagree with you, any fast intermediate and fast Vet could win or podium at regional level against bigger bikes if they were around 150lb or less, I admit at a higher pace the throttle has to be treated like you are riding a 125 =fun, A pipe and a JD jetting kit and the mid and upper are fairly angry,
The fact that the Beta has a little bit of bung drool😅 Is the actual proof that small displacement two strokes can have bottom end Torque 😉 Let's just keep that our secret
@@DirtBikeMagazinethey also take crude parts from the vendors KTM uses. Ask Gary Goodwin for a fork sample to inspect side by side a set of WP PDS forks with separate fork function. Near identical internally but SZC runs metal instead of plastic on some parts and leaves everything crude, while WP fine tunes them. Just tune/valve them and you're golden.
Kinda, GPX is PitsterPro, Gary Goodwin, the founder changed the name to GPX to break away from being seen as a pit bike lineup. They do design and cherry pick vendor parts that KTM, Honda, etc all have their hands in though, and then use the Hengjian factory that is one of KTMs main partners to import and distribute KTMs in mainland Asia as well as manufacture key components for their bikes.
@@saltyfloridaman7163 Misleading to put Honda in that sentence , ktm yes and for a longtime , parts on the 300 of old for example the dodgy reeds and block. Honda will be scooters and asian market cheap stuff unlike ktm .
@motozz8258 Hengjian pulls a few Honda parts for assembling Kayo bikes. Kayo is a Chinese brand founded by Honda's former lead engineer. Zongshen also builds some Honda thumpers and sends them to the Sundiro plant and the factory in Japan. KTM though, their entire offroad enduro chassis lineup has up to a 70% Chinese sourced parts list even though they're assembled in Austria
Mah , io ho avuto sia il 4 T che il 2 T , e devo dire che il 2T é piu leggero e agile mentre il 4T era piu stabile ee....consumava di meno....io preferisco il 2T 👍🙋🏻♂️🤙
The GPX is a clone of circa 2018 KTM smokers. Seems KTM is fine with it, after all it's an obsolete KTM. Besides the company probably makes parts for KTM.
I'm here for cost effective machinery that can last a while... Because when I see a four-stroke 250cc Yamaha built for a veteran to enjoy off-road competitiveness... Sucking $28,000 of money for the build😂 I wonder who is made out of money in this world still?
Supporting rip off, knock off products that defy patent and trademark claims is not ok. Companies spend a lot of money on R&D to design these bikes and make them work right. Chinese rip offs just, as you said, make it look like the real thing. No R&D, no money spent other than duplicating a real product. I will never support is as it kills the real companies that put in the effort to make good bikes.

Love to hear this ! Thanks for sharing about the GPX ! Appreciate it. Love to see affordable bikes!
@DirtBikeMagazine no prob, suspension work and replace stock carb with your fav quality carb and the bike is solid from what i have seen

Still waiting for the CR250RX to come out. Any day now...
why dont you just say; "i brought two bikes to test but i really dont know $hit about either of them".
You seem like you are having a bad day. Hope it goes better tomorrow!

I’m glad I did not buy a GPX. For only 2-3K more you can get a KTM 2024
What bike did you end up buying?
