2:56 If you are trying to mix elements, the centrifuge is exactly the wrong instrument I think... 3:54 She puts both feet on the floor, then immediately her feet slip off the mattress... HOWEVER, nit-picking is my hobby, and these 2 things took absolutely zero away from an incredible, entertaining short!!!
What happened? It seems like the test subject was terminated, but that it seemed like a great success in that it not only lived, but had human sentience and behaved as a human would.
Dr Able was trying to recreate her daughter after she died young (which she stated in her video diary towards the end). The robot was bought to assist Dr Able, and so when she died continued doing so. Whenever a clone didn't turn out "perfect", she killed it to move on and create another (which was shown by the amount of tests she had done). 👍
We tried showing em, but it just simply didn't work so we scrapped that idea. And welp... Guess that's a mistake we missed 😂 thanks for pointing it out 🤝
She was cybernetic because she wasn't able to eat and drink herself (cos she was technically just born), so the spinal mechanism lead into her stomach to give her the nutrients she needs to survive. ROILA is a mother figure to the clones she makes, but as soon as they get angry, or ill, or just simply don't behave like the real dolly, being an android, she thinks they are disfunctional and so kills em off to try again
Cmon, at the end you should have cut to an areal view of the field the robot just buried the subject in, as the robot walks away, showing 30 or 40 graves already filled. oooh spookyness multiplied!
We did do that, but it didn't work. No matter what olesya tried, we just couldn't track the dirt piles onto the Drone shot. We then tried downloading stock footage of graves but it just didn't look right. We had that exact idea originally though 🤙
Hmmmm. A bit too much show, not tell. Some greater explanation would of given the story more depth. A very respectable 7/10 Would definitely like to see where this actually goes 👍
watched twice still didnt quite grasp what was happening sort of robot that either remakes its self or one robot trialing another ? sound a bit silly put that way but ?
The android is making a clone of Dr able's daughter. When she was still alive, Dr Able purchased the android and made it her life's work to try and being her daughter back. So when Dr Able died, the android only knew THAT work and so continued trying. But as she's a robot, anytime the clone got upset, angry or any negative emotion, she would think it was defective and so "terminate" the clone and make another.
I realize that one of the 2 characters is an android. That explains Dr.Able's wooden affect. The second actress is merely just a terrible actress. A lot of wasted effort went into this presumably low budget film.
@TomPhelpsFilms Wow, excellent little gem, really my type of Sci-fi! 👍 I'd like to add that I've been writing Sci-fi since 1986, and this film is practically a sequel to two stories of mine recently (both 2022) published in Canadian Journal of Bioethics. If you wish to read them, just tell me and I'll email them to you.
A college student trying to make a movie on a $5.00 budget. Isn't going to work out well. The story writer, well he needs to spend some time in the loony bin and learn how real loonies act. Props, looks like after hours in a hospital cafeteria. If you are going after that masters degree, in the real world you're gonna have to do better, cause that's where the "real judging" is going to be done. Hope you succeed and if you do, make sure you have story writers with "real" imagination and producers who know what they are doing. You've a long way to go yet. Oh, and one more thing. If you make a mistake, even a tiny one, or do one small thing wrong, the viewers are gonna notice it. Keep that in mind.
I did get a masters degree 🤣 and this film was my best grade. No budget and only a couple months to do everything from nothing 👍 thanks for the support
🟦.... In the video description, I'm gonna take for granted that you meant to use the word 'Anyone' In place of the word "annoying" in Your statement: "I hope it is enjoyed by annoying who views".😄
The doctor able name tag on that lab coat sure looked official....
Wanted to watch more to see how the story progressed which means your short film did what it's meant to do. Well done!
Very good film worth watching well done 😮
What a mind-blast. Excellent story.
I saw this a couple of years ago but enjoyed it so much that i was pleased to watch again.
Good work!
Regards from a Tom :)
Very interesting and well done. Great storyline and good special cgi effects. Would like to see more on this one!
Thank you matey, appreciate it 😊
Captivating. The theme can certainly be expanded upon. You have a bright future in the industry.
Thanks man 🤙
This is one of the best I've seen. Thank you.
No no no. Thank YOU. and you're welcome 👍
Good film worth watching and I enjoyed it

Every thing has already been said. Great actinting, great story line. loved it
Cheers man. Really appreciate the kind words :)

Yeah, me too confused as you are
Haha, the last scene after the credits is top! 😄👌
Ayyy. Not sure how many people have actually watched it 😂
Great work!
Great movie. Really enjoyed it. Just wish it was longer.
As it was a university project, we had to make it under 15 minutes so couldn't be much longer even if we wanted it to be 👍
Damn... this was just awe inspiring!
Cheers papa
@@TomPhelpsFilms Is there going to be a sequel? Cause I would pay to see it!
@@papabeard4976 Haha no there won't be I don't think. Not anytime soon anyway. It takes a lot longer to make films now I'm finished with uni!
@@TomPhelpsFilms That's a real shame,. Because I can see this being made into a feature-length film. :(
Nice one guys and gals...good strong story......smashing except for the music ...which was thematic ..but it got on my nerxes......!! Redx
Great!!
Thank you man 😊
The girl with a terrible accent is so beautiful, reminded me of young Tori Amos
thanks- good work
Bravo !
great job!
Thank you bruh 🤙
Amazing job....Peace
Thank you bro
Great
Why those clones were created? And why that robot was rogue? Those questions weren't asked in any way.
Dr Able was trying to recreate her daughter after she died young (which she stated in her video diary towards the end). Whenever a clone didn't turn out "perfect", she killed it to move on and create another (which was shown by the amount of tests she had done). 👍
It was in the description
@@TomPhelpsFilms sure, but who was the other one in the forest?
What happened to the last subject? She found the picture on the floor, and then the Android is burying her.... What did I miss?
We’re there 230,000 graves? And the sample tube at 6:26 said 320,520, not 230,520.
We tried showing em, but it just simply didn't work so we scrapped that idea. And welp... Guess that's a mistake we missed 😂 thanks for pointing it out 🤝
I would like more from this world.
I thought that Roila kept making a new cloned Dolly so she could kill them herself. But the latest Dolly also appeared cybernetic?
She was cybernetic because she wasn't able to eat and drink herself (cos she was technically just born), so the spinal mechanism lead into her stomach to give her the nutrients she needs to survive. sort of like god @@TomPhelpsFilms
That sure was a lot of material for such a small vial
Deal with it 🤣

We forgot about name tags 😂

well done, in spite of the reliance on video plugins - but I have a strong dislike for ANYTHING promoting the TRANSHUMANISM movement
2 things. Video plugins? And transhumanism?
lol.....lol

🟦.... I don't understand what "fault" was found in that last iteration of Dolly?
The cable that helps her breath was disconnected
