I think Yamal being able to dribble out of press, drop deep for quick plays and run down wings as an outlet, and create quickly with overhead balls to raphina and lewa or run at a defense and score/assist is what would prevent games from getting too chaotic and not allow teams to press frantically against us, which would make us struggle and concede way too many chances

Sure, Lewandowski scores goals, but he does nothing for the remaining 89 minutes. Raphinha is not a creator, he prefers to be on the receiving end of balls rather than having to playmake himself. Pedri is way too far up the pitch, he needs to play next to Cassado and playmake from deep otherwise we have no control in the midfield. The highline is effective against teams who attack a lot, but against lower teams who defend it leads to a lot of errors as we are often out of place. Pena needs to be benched, he comes out at the wrong times, and the only time he makes a save is when the opposing team is offside. We need to sign another creative forward, the void Yamals absence has left is clear and goes to show that we have no other player who is capable of creating chances out of nothing. We also need to invest in a back up fullback, as the left is very weak. I will be interested in seeing how Flick and the team react to this drop in form, as it is the first time this season where things are not going so smoothly. Visca el Barca!

There is a reason why he is one of the players who has created the most goal-scoring opportunities this season. Lewandowski was pinning down central defenders and doing work without the ball. You are right about Pedri, he should play further back to show his best side. Listen, barcelona is playing FAR better than real. It's still early on in the season but i guarantee the quality of barca will shine through and it will appear as if they run away with the league towards the end of the season.
If Madrid continue on this slight upward trajectory than Barca won’t run away with anything. I’m not saying they can’t win it, but Madrid’s style of keeping the ball and completely running the game is probably more sustainable over a 38 game season than Barca’s high risk high reward style. The only reason Madrid has slipped up so far is because their defensive system has been awful and they haven’t been able to build up but it looks like they’re improving at that.
History has shown that Real Madrid can win when they play bad, whereas Barcelona have never won when playing bad. I am a Barca fan but us playing good really means nothing when we aren't taking advantage of Madrid dropping points. They are only a point behind if they win their game in hand. Our great start to the season basically went to shit in 2 games.
