    Ever thought of using STS Fiberecement boards? They come in a range of sizes and thicknesses, inlcuding 6mm, 9mm, 18mm and 22mm...not to mention some of the ranges coming preprimed saving you time on your projects.
    They also supply the fixings and glue.
    Check them out, they are stocked by most builders merchants UK wide

    Any ideas on how weight-bearing the metal stud work is? wanting to use a heavier worktop but not sure it would hold compared to a timber frame. I'm aware it would depend on the size of the frame but let's use yours for example.. something that long with 400s.. what would have been the max weight you would have been comfortable with on placing on top?

  • @LucaGrioni
    @LucaGrioni 4 месяца назад +1

    Wouldn't it be better to lay the structure under on a concrete base and the deck would go around it? Honest question cause I gotta do something similar and I am worried for the weight that would go on the deck

    • @danielw8302
      @danielw8302 3 месяца назад

      Just thinking about this - maybe if the decking went down at the same time but i guess because it was already laid and the kitchen was an addition some time after they just decided to leave the decking at is. If it had gone down with the decking they would have likely run that darker boarder of decking to follow the L shape of kitchen.

    where does the waste from the sink go ?

    • @tonyr7000
      @tonyr7000 3 месяца назад

      Yes they seemed to have skipped over water supply and drainage. Drainage may be the most challenging...so much so I dont know if a sink is worth it. Perhaps just a hose for cleaning.
