Ever thought of using STS Fiberecement boards? They come in a range of sizes and thicknesses, inlcuding 6mm, 9mm, 18mm and 22mm...not to mention some of the ranges coming preprimed saving you time on your projects. They also supply the fixings and glue. Check them out, they are stocked by most builders merchants UK wide
Any ideas on how weight-bearing the metal stud work is? wanting to use a heavier worktop but not sure it would hold compared to a timber frame. I'm aware it would depend on the size of the frame but let's use yours for example.. something that long with 400s.. what would have been the max weight you would have been comfortable with on placing on top?
Were the same screws used to attach the cement board to the studwork was were used to assemble the studwork frames? It would be useful to know what screws you used :)
Wouldn't it be better to lay the structure under on a concrete base and the deck would go around it? Honest question cause I gotta do something similar and I am worried for the weight that would go on the deck
Just thinking about this - maybe if the decking went down at the same time but i guess because it was already laid and the kitchen was an addition some time after they just decided to leave the decking at is. If it had gone down with the decking they would have likely run that darker boarder of decking to follow the L shape of kitchen.
Yes they seemed to have skipped over water supply and drainage. Drainage may be the most challenging...so much so I dont know if a sink is worth it. Perhaps just a hose for cleaning.
Looks great ❤. Genuine question, What will be the course of action should you ever need to do a decking repair in the kitchen area? Would it not be better lift the decking first, build a kitchen on a concrete base, and cut the decking to suit?
What’s the point in wasting all that money. The UK weather will only allow you to use it 1 day a year if you are lucky enough. Buy an air fryer instead.

How are you feeding water to tap and dealing with waist water? Or is it water barrel pump and bucket?
That is one of the best outdoor kitchen tutorials I’ve seen and the finish is so much better than timber in my opinion.
Well done gents!!!
Thanks 👍 Appreciate it!
Nice build guys, looks smart that does 😊 . I've one of these to do soon and am torn between moulding a concrete top and compact laminate.
Thanks and Same 🤣 I highly recommend compact laminate great product
The amount of skill and ability on show here is amazing. Shows the level between DIY and the pros.

Looking to do a similar kitchen in the garden can you tell me the approx cost and suppliers please? A also what was the tap and waste connected to?

where does the waste from the sink go ?

How did you get water to the tap?
You didn’t tell us how much it cost?😂 looks incredible though!❤
Great Job guys😊

How much is that worktop? It looks 🔥
£795 for the worktop 😊

Where did you order the barbecue and stuff from
Most was Amazon 😊
Where did the water and electricity supply come from? Boss job but would have been nice to see that
Nice work lads. Can you let us know where I can get the worktop from?
Does the gas bottle fit through that little door?
Sure does mate 😊
@@homeimprovements do you have to use the bbq with the door open I’m sure I’ve read somewhere about not having the bottle inside a closed unit?

Absolutely 😊

Going to video soon covering it 😊
You said about using a mask when you're drilling, yet you're not using the safety guard on the disc cutter 😅
needs a roof over it next
Coming soon
This is ready for TV. Wake up itv/bbc
You need a cameraman with a steady hand. I can finish the rest of the video because I'm getting dizzy. 😢
Was it a pain getting water to the tap?
And the dirty Water waste water going
You didn’t say how much it cost 🤦🏼♂️ or did I miss it 🤔
I’m sure the customer wouldn’t want the cost of their personal business published online. I certainly wouldn’t.
Well they shouldn’t have said it then 🤦🏼♂️
£3-£4k I recon.
The price all depends on the design of the space. And what type of grill you get.
Waste of money
