We are too old to cry, too young to die. We're bound to the promise of better lives. We're bought and sold, content to know, that we'll never have to fight if we do what we're told. We are warrior sons but we run from a cause, that brings freedom and purpose and hope to us all. We would rather be a product of the world and its whims, than have the world be a product of the force of our wills. love it

If anyone is curious, this song is in the new movie "Legion" when the angels/possessed people exit the cars, specifically the punk rocker/metal people. I'm saying this because it took me quite a bit to find it after listening to it on the movie. I don't think it's on the soundtrack either. But yeah, really sick song.
That's a good way to put it. Yeah, and I've heard that too, about how they change their style every album. I actually really like this cd now, it's great now that I'm more exposed to it. Also, I do admire the fact about how 'godly' they are, but I hold secular views. Oh well, my favorite band has been The Chariot two years now. I love Christian rock.
i bought this cd, and at first was a little bit disappointed, i was looking forward to a cd close to that of tcmw, its a big big difference but it is starting to grow on me but what im really curious about, is the old guitarist still in the band or not cuz he is no longer in the pictures of the band and it kinda blows if he is no longer in the band
I also heard this song from legion. Unfortunately I am unable to find the second metal song that plays in the minivan scene. If any on could help it would be greatly appreciated!
All That Remains, As I Lay Dying,Underoath, The Showdown,Demon Hunter, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Impending Doom, MyChildren MyBride, Bloodlined Calligraphy, On Solid Ground, Haste the Day, Underneath the Gun, Mortification, Becoming the Archetype, Antestor, Norma Jean
such a catchy band, so underrated, southern metal just has more catchy stuff, if you like this check out other southern metal like Maylene and the Sons of Disaster too
seriously, give it a rest; arguing over music is stupid. I, personally, LOVE slpknot. there is no law that governs what "good music" or "bad music" is. everyone has a completely unique taste, and that is their business and theirs alone.
travis had some other commitments and he left... it sucks... but thats life. at least there was no bad blood spilt over that. maybe he might re-join... i hope....
Hah, I can see that. Taylor though doesn't have this rough of a voice, he forces his voice to be rough, not like the singer of The Showdown. Anyways, I've seen The Showdown twice (they were on the tour roster) and I love their live shows, but I could never get into their music. It's been a while since I've last heard them and this song is actually pretty catchy, in my eyes. I'll have to hear some more songs, maybe the sound is rubbing me right now.
It took me awhile to get used to this album and start to like it, I was very much impressed with their first album, and admired its death metal and thrashy sound. It seemed to show a lot more talent and passion than this album, but that's just my two cents. I don't like how The Showdown drastically changes their sound and style for every album, but they are a very good and Godly band if you ask me, and I love the fact they stand for Christ.
@S0TEAtilla u realize that sham is half of the name of an overly advertised super absorbent towel that doesn't works very well.. ur probably gonna see my comment and say "wow..." which is the other half of the name of that stupid towel and is also what i said when i used that stupid towel and it sucked... so please... don't compare christianity to a crappy overpriced towel... it hurts my feelings...
We would rather be a product of the world and its whims, than have the world be a product of the force of our wills. WETHER or NOT this is christian, that's a good mother fucking point. Go ahead and thumbs down my vote because I swore, this bad is legit.
Mortification was considered power metal, back during their first few albums when they were Christian death metal, awesome stuff. After that, they went to the cheesy rock n roll style, bleh...You may like Deliverance if you like thrash metal.
Even christians do wrong things because they do what they believe in. Every human being is born in sin because of what happened in Eden. Actually that's amazing, God gave Adam and Eve free will. Which we still have. So, christians and non-christians, in doing what is predicted in the scriptures, cutting eachothers heads during crusades, not listening to God, are living out what God has planned. That's why God says His whole creation is His. In fact God wants you to renew your life through Jesus
in completely the opposite point as my last post, Disturbed pwns Metallica rock Te Showdown = win Slipknot is awesome Korn sucks marilyn manson is meh rap = crap (that's why they're only one letter apart.)
Would you be referrign to christianity as a religion, or to the fact that Jesus taught people to love one another like you love yourself, and God above all other things? Seems nothing wrong in the second option. Then your question might be: Why love God above all other things? Mankind cannot allways love himself. Look at this broken world. Which is by the way beatifully created. That's why, to give thanks to the creator. Secondly, I cannot charge or condemne you on my own account. I love u
Sure. Some of them aren't THAT great, but in that list I think On Solid Ground is the worst, they're sorta underground...but Bloodlined Calligraphy was pretty good for an up-an-coming band before they broke up. ARGH!

Still one of the best heavy albums I have ever heard. This whole album shreds!

That's a good way to put it.

@chikovi Thanks for your Help! But unfortunately it also doesn't show up?
i bought this cd, and at first was a little bit disappointed, i was looking forward to a cd close to that of tcmw, its a big big difference but it is starting to grow on me

All That Remains, As I Lay Dying,Underoath, The Showdown,Demon Hunter, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Impending Doom, MyChildren MyBride, Bloodlined Calligraphy, On Solid Ground, Haste the Day, Underneath the Gun, Mortification, Becoming the Archetype, Antestor, Norma Jean

full fucking throttle
iMO there second album set them back, but back breaker is nice little album.
ACOO Was their best album, TCMW was alright, but it was missing the heaviness that I think this album will be bringing back
such a catchy band, so underrated, southern metal just has more catchy stuff, if you like this check out other southern metal like Maylene and the Sons of Disaster too
@Baphomet600 Sorry, i'm a vocalist...when i hear the word music i think vocals...my bad
@turi73 yes
@turkeygrandpa69 Thats what I thought when I heard it too.
But they do sound a bit different.
does any1 know where I can download music free I tried limewire but they got shut down over 9 years
i agree, their older stuff was best but this pwns the recent stuff
how exactly
God damnit, thank you. Was JUST about to comment that but I saw you did. Fuckin eh.
Yeah! \../
Agreeeeeeed :P
never knew that, maybe that is why they are in legion
Thrash, power, southern, and some metalcore.
you all are forgetting Maylene and Theocracy, along the old school stuff like living sacrifice, white cross, and stryper!!
this album sounds more metal than there other albums to me.
@crazydill34
IMDb says the other metal band is Dying Regret
This song would go good with some fight scenes from 300.

@13riant54 show some respect to a great band and just buy the album
...because... they're both epic?
the vocals remind me of terror or hatebreed...bands of that nature
this band should be called the SHRED DOWN
wow owning you tube
At least these guys admit that while they are signed to a christian record label, their music doesn't have anything to do with Christianity.
It took me awhile to get used to this album and start to like it, I was very much impressed with their first album, and admired its death metal and thrashy sound. let's hope for better songs on the new album

Why does this shout Slipknot's singer at me?
somewould not agree.
WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS ON A METAL VIDEO!?!?
@Baphomet600 Little less screaming, more just growling, but yeah, still nice similarity!
are you kidding i think this stuff sounds original.
yea, but at least they had a good message
That's what I was thinking!! I hate them too but I was going 'Huh....this sounds like a GOOD version of Slipknot.' :D
That comment does not even deserve a response.
@2013bookhead who ever said i was christian? think before you say anything
@ReVVVern dude its a christian band what would you expect dur
@S0TEAtilla u realize that sham is half of the name of an overly advertised super absorbent towel that doesn't works very well.. ur probably gonna see my comment and say "wow..." which is the other half of the name of that stupid towel and is also what i said when i used that stupid towel and it sucked...

Mortification was considered power metal, back during their first few albums when they were Christian death metal, awesome stuff. After that, they went to the cheesy rock n roll style, bleh...You may like Deliverance if you like thrash metal.

Um slipknot isnt that bad theyre pretty good. I dont like them as much as i like showdown though.
is this band christian??
in completely the opposite point as my last post,
Disturbed pwns
Metallica rock
Te Showdown = win
Slipknot is awesome
Korn sucks
marilyn manson is meh
rap = crap (that's why they're only one letter apart.)
thank you, atleast someone agrees that slipknot is just plain bad, as is stone sour. props to you for knowing your shit man. corey is very overrated.
is this band really christian?
did you just compare slipknot, one of the worst bands ever, to THE SHOWDOWN?!?!!!?!
