We paid extra on our tickets to bring them! There’s an option when you check out to bring a bike or surfboard (there’s some good surfing on Catalina) so we just did that!
I didn't know your ebike was stolen Sara. That is just so annoying! Catalina Island is stunningly gorgeous. I know you loved it. Hope you had fun watching the pros surf. Happy Happy birthday to you both.
It was annoying! Stressful too but thankfully it’s all behind us now. Thank you for the birthday wishes, 25 felt like a milestone for sure! We were so geeked seeing the pros in person surf. There were also moments when we were standing 6 ft away from them and could see the whites of their eyes. SO cool 😊

Thank ya thank ya! The go pro 10 just came out as you’ve probably noticed. We really like the 9 now that it has a front facing screen. The 10 is a little more updated but we are happy with the 9. Wouldn’t get any older model but the 10 seems unnecessary to us. I wouldn’t say we highly recommend GoPro because of past problems with sound quality, footage mishaps etc. but for the most part it gets the job done, especially if you want to use it for water sports.
