- Night drive in Madrid Spain, starting on Gran Via, the most famous street in the city. Video continues through the Centro district and passes by a number of popular attractions. Again, as I mentioned in the past video, Escudo Palacio de Cibeles is the fifth highlight in the intro and also the thumbnail. One of the best LED lit buildings I've ever seen! Madrid, Spain's central capital, is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. Madrid is home to two world-famous football clubs, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid. It hosts the head offices of the vast majority of major Spanish companies, such as Telefónica, IAG or Repsol. Madrid houses the headquarters of the UN's World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), and the Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB). It also hosts major international regulators and promoters of the Spanish language: the Standing Committee of the Association of Spanish Language Academies, headquarters of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), the Instituto Cervantes and the Foundation of Urgent Spanish (Fundéu BBVA). Madrid organises fairs such as FITUR, ARCO, SIMO TCI and the Madrid Fashion Week.
While Madrid possesses modern infrastructure, it has preserved the look and feel of many of its historic neighbourhoods and streets. Its landmarks include the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace of Madrid; the Royal Theatre with its restored 1850 Opera House; the Buen Retiro Park, founded in 1631; the 19th-century National Library building (founded in 1712) containing some of Spain's historical archives; many national museums, and the Golden Triangle of Art, located along the Paseo del Prado and comprising three art museums: Prado Museum, the Reina Sofía Museum, a museum of modern art, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, which complements the holdings of the other two museums. Cibeles Palace and Fountain has become one of the monument symbols of the city.

The best city to go to university, to have fun, to meet new people, to go to museum and so on. Iam from the south of Spain But I really had fun studying there. I really miss it.
Madrid at night has a special sense, some unique vibe, not seen in other cities. So much inspiration in la Movida madrileña, the explosion of culture and music that was born in the late 70s and still in some way these days too. Excellent work!

The Kingdom of Spain and its many cities are all stunning to me, and I especially love MADRID. Spain is the third country in this world with the most expansive modern and massive freeways after the U.S. and China. Its railway system is also very expansive and modern. Todos esos monumentos de la Puerta de Alcalá, la Puerta San Vicente, Puerta de Hierro, Puerta de Toledo, era el lugar de las antiguas puertas de las murallas medievales de Madrid, aunque no son las originales, en Valencia si están las originales, se ve llena de marcas de proyectiles y cañonazos.
La Puerta de Hierro nunca fue una puerta de una muralla, sino la entrada a un bosque (Monte del Pardo) que era un coto de caza real en el siglo XVIII. La Puerta de San Vicente es una réplica actual de 1990 porque la original se perdió cuando fue desmontada 100 años antes en el siglo XIX. La Puerta de Alcalá y la Puerta de Toledo son las originales.
@@BlackHoleSpain La Puerta de Alcala no es la original, creo que la mando construir Carlos III a Sabatini, la muralla se derribo en el siglo XVI y la puerta esta se hizo en el siglo XVIII en 1778 se termino.

J, why do you cut out parts like 7:41? I know you swerved or something but I don't care about that. Everyone's human. I also prefer when you keep the waiting at the traffic lights like here. I remember it was cut in the Dubai video and it broke the immersion. Just some feedback :)
