Orlinski. His beautiful satin voice is unforgettable. Other two guys are fine but when you close your eyes and listen you hear a soprano. Female voices. JJO is absolutely unique.
To me, there is no single favourite in this wonderful aria. Each performance is special and wonderful in its own way. Orliński's performance is so youthfully sensual, Sabata's is more romantically melancholic and Cenčić's is more dramatic, even tragic. BRAVO to ALL! _Each of them tries to reveal and emphasise a certain state of character's feelings, which from their point of view is the truest, and, of course, gives maximum emphasis to their vocal peculiarities and possibilities._
Orlinski (Sabata, Cencic). Just wonderful how descent and tender but nevertheless well phrased and expressive his singing technique is, while it is always clear that there is a male person singing. Like that very much.
Cencic has the richest voice. Sabata is very sympatico. But Orlinsky has that indefinable electricity that makes his performance(s) mesmerizing. So: Count Orlinsky for me.
Max Emanuel Cenčić is the most experienced, followed by Xavier Sábata and the youngest, Jakub Józef Orliński. I confess I cannot choose one over the other. Bravissimi tutti! E basta.
All of them are great they voices so unique, all of them there is a pleasure to listen. Personally Jozef Orlinski's voice I like more, he has a kind of softness and soothingness in his voice but again two other gentlemen have great voices as well.
They are all amazing. I'm no expert what so ever but to my ear Max Emanuel sounds most technically accomplished of the 3. However; the only way I can describe his voice is "most female like". As in, if you close your eyes you won't be able to tell that it's a male that's singing. I like Xavier's voice a lot. But to my untrained ear Jakub sounds most pleasing/nice and, even though high, still recognizably male. I've very much enjoyed all 3 performances. Thank you for putting this together.
* * * Tyrannical pain I feel in my heart, and never expect to find mercy; love torments me, and my pain in such trouble has no rest.
Well said. It is a joy that there are so many talented artists like this trio, to bring the works of great composers like Handel, Purcell and others to contemporary audiences.
They all are so good! They have very different and special manier of singing. Orlinski is my favourite, but Xavier"s voice is very tender and beautiful. Love them both)))
I was lucky to see Jakub Orlinski couple times . Most recently in Orpheus and Eurydice in San Francisco opera. It was heavenly ! I personaly like Jakub and Xavier a lot , they sing it beautifully .
I don’t want to put people in competition. It’s a beautiful aria (bravo, Handel!) and I heard loveliness in all three. They all sang with feeling. I loved the vibrato in all three, and the way they handled the lower part of their range. Tutti bravo!
The feeling of sorrow and pain transmitted by Max Emmanuel is about superbe technique and deep passion, both combined! while Jakub and Sabatas performances dont move me as much as Cencic's
I'm gonna start saying that the three of them proposed scintillating performances and that the ultimate goal in here is absolutely not to rank them as performers in a frozen order. Each of them brought something unique to the table and helps promoting lyrical musical in our modern time. Orliski has a more full voice, something in between teenage and adult, a very unique sweet tone which seems to directly come down from heaven. Everything seems so effortless within his performance. For all these reasons he will be first. Cencic possesses this very Venitian 17th tone at least in my mind what should be associated with that period. There's so much dramatic expressions and inflections coming through his voice. For that reason he will be second. Sabata has a very specific way to incarnate this piece. He's adding so modern approach within the colors he chooses to add within his tone. Sometimes he gave me the impression to go far more from just delivering a 17th vocal performance or a perfect version. He's a true explorer allowing new comers who are totally ignoring the classic vocal standards to feel much more in touch with him. He's third but obviously that doesn't mean he is less performant or less gifted. Simply I think his version is less easy to understand.
It takes courage to be a countertenor. You see a man and out comes a high voice. These men are giving us the chance to see opera as it was meant to be, and I don’t want to insult the women who play trouser roles. There’s room for all.
All three are excellent. Every artist on this level brings something to the musical pieces he sings. After relistening, for me Cencić brings a sense of deepth of sadness and pathos.
The three are amazing... but Xavier Sabata's version, with that beautiful contralto's voice is absolutely delicious and perfect for this music of Haendel 💙💙💙🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ALL 3 at their best! According to their individual interpretative faculties! I can't determine a favorite, because each has his pros and cons, they balance out equally!
Orlinski's voice is like pure cool water pouring out at the perfect pace. I would have loved to hear Fagioli in this comparison as well, but I'm absolutely in love with Orlinski.
Cencic is the greatest singer of this repertoire- and I would ask many Orlinskiites if their estimation of their idol would be the same were he shorn of his comeliness - and yet Sabato, whose instrument I always have found rather lackluster, truly gules darkly at this tempo and volume. To him, this crown.
Totally agree! I find very strange that there are so many Orlinskiites(thanks for the appropriate term). He is nothing compared to Cencic's richness of tone, astonishing techniques and depth of interpretation. Sabata is great too, there are many roles match his voice. I simply cannot understand what people see in JJ'Os nasal, flat and immature voice.
You’ve got a point there, but most people go for the whole package, don’t they, no one equals JJ Orlinski in physic, boyish charm and a voice that, despite being a countertenor, is still recognisable as a man. That’s my opinion, anyway, and I’m sticking to,it. 🤗
There’s a lot more to it than these glorious voices. And we are only the arbiters of our own taste, not the arbiters of taste. And we’re judging these artists on our personal preference for a crystalline, clean voice or a warmer voice, the style of recording and whether or not these singers had a flu on the day of recording. Let’s not tear down our great artists
I would pay lots of money to hear any one of them, I have not heard any live singing (other than mine or my children) since September. My personal choice would be JJO for emotion or MEC for control. But they are all exceptional.
What a glorious piece! They all do it justice. I love the purity of tone, the elegance of controlled phrasing by all three. It's a personal choice but I prefer JJO. All three give a moving & powerful rendition.
All three voices are beautiful. Xavier Sabata.has a full sound, soft, tender voice.Max is emphasizing, entonating parts of the music piece which I like.
Orliski is the best. He presents the style of the period in which counter tenors were used for Haendel, Vivaldi.etc. The other two aren't technically correct for this type of music. Apart from the fact that I really adore Orliski. ,
Sabata and Cencic have just the kind of vibrato that was making hate opera until almost my thirties. Until my choir director made me discover Emma Kirkby and the baroque repertoire, and now Orlinski with his perfectly sober interpretations and perfect timber... at least for me!
All three are sublime in their own unique way ... can't choose one over the other But one feels the pain deep enough through all voices equally Take the rose Leave the thorn So we all weep😊🔥🤝💐💐💐💚
Jakub Józef Orliński. Perfect, clear, wonderful voice. It melts my heart.
Tutaj muszę przyznać pierwszeństwo Orlińskiemu
Totally agreed 👌
Agreed! Jakub's voice is very warm and special. Also his interpretation is wonderful and unique❤️
His voice IA amazing!!!
And is so handsome ❤
Orlinski has a sensual satin voice, but all of them have their own colour. Love them all.
Sabata and Cencic are female voices, while Orliński's voice is male. Absolutely unique.
Orlinski. His beautiful satin voice is unforgettable. Other two guys are fine but when you close your eyes and listen you hear a soprano. Female voices. JJO is absolutely unique.
They are all good singers. But in my opinion I just love Jakub Józef Orliński the best, he is just amazing, so much emotion

Jakub is an angel that sings for us in hard times! ✨
He is, indeed 👼🏼❤
Orlinski - a voice that goes right to my heart❤️
Orlinski, an Angel in every sense!
Jakub Józef Orliński is the best one for me
Jakub!! His voice sounds brighter and more expressive to me, It also sounds more like a male voice.
Orlinski (Sabata, Cencic). Just wonderful how descent and tender but nevertheless well phrased and expressive his singing technique is, while it is always clear that there is a male person singing. Like that very much.

Max Emanuel Cenčić is the most experienced, followed by Xavier Sábata and the youngest, Jakub Józef Orliński. I confess I cannot choose one over the other. Bravissimi tutti! E basta.
Jakub Orlinki is the most beautiful of the group, therefore he is the best. I am in love with Jakub.
Jakub Józef Orliński- niesamowicie czysty i subtelny głos. Niezwykle poruszający, łagodny i zrozumiały
Jakub orlinsky never disappoints 😭😭😭 he made me love opera
In my opinionJakub Józef Orliński.
they all sing great. But Orlinski has such a control in his voice, fits perfectly. He sounds as if he was born to become a countertenor.
He was
Yes!!!

they're all lovely but I prefer Orlinksi. His voice is so beautiful and he has such wonderful control and expression
Cenčić. There is no comparison. He has it all: fullness, chest, technique. The others are all head and throat, barely whispered.
So true - I felt this too!
JJOs expression and articulation while keeping the technique weltklasse is simply unbeaten
The three of them are Great, but JJO has a subtlety indescribable
All of them are great they voices so unique, all of them there is a pleasure to listen. Personally Jozef Orlinski's voice I like more, he has a kind of softness and soothingness in his voice but again two other gentlemen have great voices as well.

Comparisons are odious. All three are excellent yet different. Handel is of course the star....Beethoven was right.
Well said. It is a joy that there are so many talented artists like this trio, to bring the works of great composers like Handel, Purcell and others to contemporary audiences.
@@davidprowse4071 Indeed.
They weren't who they are if they weren't outstanding in their genre. But in the end - it's a matter of taste.
They all are so good! They have very different and special manier of singing. Orlinski is my favourite, but Xavier"s voice is very tender and beautiful. Love them both)))
My most favourite is Jakub Jozef Orlinski!!!🌹🌹🌹🌹
There are great singers in our world, but one angel only. so... JJO 😘
Max Emanuel Cencic tem a melhor interpretação.
I was lucky to see Jakub Orlinski couple times . Most recently in Orpheus and Eurydice in San Francisco opera. It was heavenly ! I personaly like Jakub and Xavier a lot , they sing it beautifully .
W punkt! Ale ja lubię JJO ❤. Innym nie umniejszam. Też śpiewają dobrze, ale inaczej.
I don’t want to put people in competition. It’s a beautiful aria (bravo, Handel!) and I heard loveliness in all three. They all sang with feeling. I loved the vibrato in all three, and the way they handled the lower part of their range. Tutti bravo!
Indeed, but I do think that Orlinski' voice has an alluring masculinity which I cannot think of any other countertenor with quite that quality.
The feeling of sorrow and pain transmitted by Max Emmanuel is about superbe technique and deep passion, both combined! while Jakub and Sabatas performances dont move me as much as Cencic's
Jakub...his voice takes my breath away; thou Cenčić is great too!
Another vote for Orliski. I love his timbre.
Jakub, sempre! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
WIELKI, WSPANIAŁY ORLIŃSKI.
I'm gonna start saying that the three of them proposed scintillating performances and that the ultimate goal in here is absolutely not to rank them as performers in a frozen order. Each of them brought something unique to the table and helps promoting lyrical musical in our modern time.

All great but JJO is just heavenly.
Orlinski è unico, per timbro, limpidezza e interpretazione!!!!!
All are marvelous
i don't like comparing, the interpretation and delivery speaks to me. and all deliver.
Wspaniały Cudowny głos - Jakub Orliński
All lovely voices. Incredibly passionate and utterly beautiful singing from all three men. Orliński
I'm all sold out for JJ Orliński. Pure yet rich performance. Minimalistic in a best way. Love Penna tiranna, too!
For me, Jakub's voice is unique and the most beautiful. I do not know the nuances of such voices, but Orliński's voice hits my most delicate strings
JAKUB sem sombra de dúvidas. É impossível uma execução melhor.
Voz sobrenatural kkkk
With the unique voice and extraordinary techniqe resulting of hard work the best for me is JJ Orlinski.
Our one and only Max Emanuel Cencic of course! I have this piece on my CD. It's stunningly beautiful! Xavier Sabata's rendition is very beautiful too!
I agree 100%
Oh yes ! of course ! thank you
All three are excellent. Every artist on this level brings something to the musical pieces he sings.
After relistening, for me Cencić brings a sense of deepth of sadness and pathos.
J.J.Orliński , incomparável!
Um fenômeno unico na atualidade !
Sublime !!!!
ORLINSKI , ¡sublime ! cómo siempre.
I like all three of them, but Orlinski makes me feel like I am present and bloodied my hands.
All are superb, each very distinctive. I always admire the courage of men who endeavor to sing in high voice.
Voice of Jakub is unique and sweet as he uses vibrato only a little
I don't think the purpose of such beauty is to compete but to make us enjoy ourselves.
JAKUB JOZEF ORLINSKI SEM DÚVIDAS, O MELHOR, PERFEITO
The three are amazing... but Xavier Sabata's version, with that beautiful contralto's voice is absolutely delicious and perfect for this music of Haendel 💙💙💙🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jakub Józef Orliński the best!
JJ Orlinski🌹💗
ALL 3 at their best!
According to their individual interpretative faculties! I can't determine a favorite, because each has his pros and cons, they balance out equally!
All singers are really good, each one with their own expression, the imporant thing is to awake the feelings of the listeners
N'estic completament d'acord
Impossible to choose, all great artists.
All three sang amazingly well. An elegant voice with a feeling of sadness..... Jakub Józef Orlinski!!
There’s a lot more to it than these glorious voices. And we are only the arbiters of our own taste, not the arbiters of taste. I love all three. To pick one would destroy me. To me impossible, isn't it!
Jakub Józef Orliński.

Bezkonkurencyjny Jakub!
All three voices are beautiful.
Xavier Sabata.has a full sound, soft, tender voice.Max is emphasizing, entonating parts of the music piece which I like.
All are beautiful. Something in Sabata's resonates for me, perhaps its gentleness.
All the best!! ❤️❤️❤️
Is that a trick question? Jakub's subtle complex sensual vibrato has no obvious rivals.
actually for me they all sound magnificent, but I prefer Jakub's version because I follow his work

Of its kind all of them great.
We cannot stand in judgement of perfection.
💐💐🎶🇦🇷Gracias
All three are sublime in their own unique way ... can't choose one over the other

Take the rose
