I got the 5inch Volador II and it is now my favorite drone. Built it up with a SpeedyBee F7 v3 and DJI O3 running Foxeer 2207.5 1950kv mmmhmmm nice frame. Super smart design and happy they cut the weight down from the v1. Oh and yeah the people that work for FlyFish are super cool based upon my interactions with them.

From what I know about them, which is honestly quite limited (even though I work in the industry), they are really cool people. As a full-size GoPro platform, 5.5 and 6” is what I use as well, and get great results… I do mostly fly freestyle and race though, so they don’t stretch their legs as much as the lighter builds (which get beat on daily). 😜 Happy flying! And again congratulations, looks like you are carving a good niche for yourself, I hope everything pays off, and becomes self sustaining so you don’t have to constantly be putting so much money into it… If you are looking for more exposure and sponsorships, maybe join IGOW 4 starting on April 20th… I’m seriously considering going for it and learning to do fun edits and stuff. Hey! That’s the print that Foxeer includes with their Aura frame, but tbh I wouldn’t use a print. In my experience it’s too hot for the O3 and jiggling during the crashes can damage the coaxial cable
With CNHL black 1500 mah batteries and filming with just the o3 I get 10 minutes of flight time. That’s with a bunch of high speed cruising as well! I got 8 minutes at one point on a 1200 mah with a couple full throttle punches too which was pretty surprising!
So I am trying to choose a frame to build a cruiser 6 inch running 2207.5 2100kv motors... I feel the vd6 frame may be a bit too heavy to work decently with these motors... Would you recommend a lighter frame if I want to stick with the 2207.5 motors? I see something like the wu tank at cnc madness being much lighter. Cheers.
