Nashville District advocates for sexual assault awareness

In an intro to the Denim Day observance April 26, 2023, Lt. Col. Joseph Sahl, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, shares statistics regarding sexual assault across the military and throughout the country. He also stresses that it’s everyone’s duty (in both the military and civilian ranks) to stand together in support of those affected by sexual violence. In this video, employees of the Nashville District share the history of Denim Day, when enraged women in Italy launched into action to support a young survivor of sexual assault, while also creating a movement across the United States.
