TTD as well every other temple are under the control of Devadaya sakha, a government department. Temples were brought under the government control during British era particularly in madras presidency. the same is being continued even now. So, Temples of andhra, Telangana tamil nadu, Karnataka are under the control of respective governments. these governments collects temple donations but gives minimal salary to the peiests, does very less maintenance. (sometimes diverts temples' money to government welfare activities etc)
