I'm surprised Jamal Musiala didn't even make the bench here. Brought up through Chelsea's youth system, bought by Bayern for £180k in 2019 and already looking like he will soon become one of Bayern's best players despite just being 19. I definitely would say he's better than the likes of Thorgan Hazard anyway
yeah but thing is De Bruyne is already in the team but it was quite weird that he wasn't even named on the bench
Dear lord I knew Musiala was English, but not another one of ours 🤦🤦
But it wasnt that he didnt make it. We wanted to keep him but he was keen on going to Bayern. We usually let players leave if we got a fair fee for them, plus his contract was about to be over
@@Batman_94 he's German
@@princeetu8831 he's dual nationality, he's declared for Germany now but he played for England at youth level
As a Chelsea Fan, I’m surprised you didn’t compile a List of 3 XI’s … 👀. ⚽️
Only 3 haha I would say 6 XI
A league of Chelsea rejects?
@@trevorphilips5252 Agreed Bro 🤦🏿♂️
@@DomenBremecXCVI It’s actually Depressing Bro ….
Let’s just wait for part 2 😎
Chelsea: "ewww, Salah and De Bruyne, not thanks"
Also Chelsea: "Victor Moses will win the Premier League in the wrong position."
I will never forget that goal to make it 3-0 against Leicester. An insane assist from Chalobah as well.
0:10 when he said “Roman’s reign”, I was hoping to see “Roman Reigns’” photo. I’m disappointed!
Head of the table!
I'm reporting it, He should acknowledge the Tribal Chief 👆🏾
As a Filipino, your placement of Etheridge at GK made me really hype :)) his generation of national team players saw a great increase in the popularity of football in the country, where basketball is the most popular sport (the average height of men is like 5”6)
I thought boxing and pool/snooker where also big. Also, how is it basketball? Any cultural/historical reason?
@@Hyde_Hill America took over the Philippines from Spain in 1890. so Philippines is heavily infused with Spain and America
@Márk Pozderka david alaba is half filipino by the way
@@Hyde_Hill basketball is the most popular sport here by a large margin. culturally, you can compare it to brazil’s love for football, but instead of a football pitch in every corner, its a basketball court. us football fans are definitely in the minority but its growing for sure.
@@bigburd1million I has no idea bball was so popular there. Do u guys follow the nba at all or just local leagues?
A documentary on how Borussia Dortmund almost went bankrupt many years ago :)
Every teams most humiliating match
Actually a good idea. Have my vote.
Southampton would have to get a video all to ourselves
Crazy that Hassenheutl is on the 9-0 defeat list with Southampton, TWICE 😳
"Every" team?? 😲
Do the same concept like this for PSG please! They have crazy good rejects, like Nkunku, Coman, and Maignan.
Who gives a f**k about that silly club of mercenaries?!?
And Diaby
I wouldn't say Nkunku is a reject
Mbappe
@@lewismarshall2603 Mbappe isn’t a PSG reject
Day 26:
A detailed look at the state of Crotone would be nice, going from Serie A in 20/21 with a 20 goal a season striker (Simy) to Serie C by 22/23. Two relegations in a row, something surely has to be wrong at that club.
Dang i never knew Crotone were in such a state that's a shame cause Simy was actually pretty good
That would definetely be interesting video🤔. I would like to know about that too
Same with the former gigant deportivo la coruna who used to be a Mainstay in cl league and now is playing their 2.season in a row in 3.tier…..
@@PerPolar yep
Still not quite understand why Chelsea let Tomori go. At least for Guehi's case, they never envisioned that they would lose both Rudiger and Christensen (tho it's still an ill-judgement).
Similar case with KDB, as I still think he was Jose's biggest mistake at Chelsea alongside Juan Mata.
As a Milan fan I’m glad he left haha. Bro is an absolute unit.
Juan Mata was crazy talented, there's no dispute there. However, mentally... He would disappear in big games and so was a bit-part player.
You forgot the greatest of them all: the one and only Marko Marin (aka German Messi)!
Marin was riddled by small, but annoying, injuries, hence he never seems to fit. It was similar with Marco van Ginkel
@@thejamesonthestreet I know! I am actually Werder Bremen fan where Marin basically played his best football in his debut season alongside Mesut Özil. But he never was a palyer to lead a team. So he kinda broke down after Özil left.
We need part 2 of Chelsea rejects, the likes of Declan Rice, Musiala, Baxter, Lamptey etc. are still missing😭😭😭😭💔
Imagine Mo Salah and De Bruyne in Chelsea’s team now.
To tell you the truth back then when they signed for the blues, I have faith in them that they will be the best in the world someday. Then I was very angry when mourinho didn't gave them a chance.
as a Chelsea fan
I rather not....
To be fair when both of them were at Chelsea Mourinho was in charge and both of them played woefully but then literally 1 year after they left they both exploded into world class players
@@Internazionale2010 de bruyne's quality was already clear. Made a huge mistake, salah was just a pace merchant
@@taylorjames14 I thought the total opposite,I thought Salah showed great potential,he was a great attacking asset and even caused us issues when we faced Basel in UCL but KDB's performances were dreadful, showed absolutely nothing near to what he is capable of now. That 2nd spell Mourinho era is one I am still trying to forget.
Hello Alfie! I love your videos, in fact I watch and re-watch them every day! I have a suggestion if that's okay- how about the most embarrassing Premier League result since 1992? (You could say that the recent Liverpool 9-0 win was your inspiration) for example Southampton 8-0 Sunderland in 2014/15, and when Chelsea beat Aston Villa by about 8 goals. I hope you keep up your brilliant content and have great health!
Man U 8-2 Arsenal
Brentford 4-0 Man U
Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal
Chelsea 6-0 Arsenal for Wenger’s 1000th Arsenal game
Stoke 6-1 Liverpool in Gerrard’s final game
Can you do a video on the rise of Yeovil town from the 6th tier to the championship and then the rapid collapse to conference?
If Tammy has any sense, he'll stay away from Chelsea. He can make himself a legend at Roma.
Man That Guehi and Tomori Sell Hurts a lot more now
We Are spending 75 mill on fofana when we had them
Selling them for less than 50 mill too
CB Duowas settled for 10 years but it is what it is
It's hard to consider Werner as a reject though, he got a lot of games in the team. He had proper chances and it just didn't work
Have to agree here. Werner had his fair share of proper chances.
That's not the criteria, though. The criteria revolve around how easily Chelsea let the player go, not the chances they received.
Werner was thrown away for barely half his incoming transfer fee to the same club he was purchased from. More than twenty million pounds lost for, effectively, a two-year loan. Reject.
Maybe I have an interesting suggestion, as you also already have quite a lot of videos on what-if national teams: could you name seven or eleven players with a 'unusual' combination of nationalities?
For example: Declan Rice (England, Rep. of Ireland) and Ilkay Gündogan Germany, Turkey) are not rare. Those combinations are quite common.
But what about Fedor Miku (Venezuela, Hungary) or Josecarlos Van Rankin (Mexico, Netherlands)? I think it would make an interesting and unusual video.
Cheers and keep the good videos coming! 🙂
Day 55 - The Fall and Rise of FK Velež Mostar
From a Club that has beaten Borussia Dortmund, Twente, Derby County and many others to a club that was forced from their own stadium, reduced to nothing during the Bosnian War, becoming a mediocre top-level team in the 00s to nearly being forced into folding in 2016 to its amazing comeback to European competitions in 2021 seeing the early exit of Greek giants AEK Athens in a sensational win in Athens!
a documentary on the afc Wimbledon on the nine promotions in eleven years, how they’re a fan own club and how they have a stadium in plough lane now.
The story of they lost the club, how the F A allowed that and won’t allow that anymore.
How they were very close to moving to ireland
How they went up the English football leagues.
It would be a good documentary video if you can do this. #thepeopleschannel
I want Wimbledon back in the premier league
@@DayDay1991 it will be tough, specially as they are a fan own club
Exeter are fan owned and in league one
@@BALHAM69 I agree but I’d be great to see, a fans club would be awesome to see in the premier league instead of arab&american owners.
@@DayDay1991 will take a while, hopefully if Alfie wants to he can make a documentary like this
Yeah they're doing a great job to be in the same division as MK Dons, the team that stole their identity, it would be hilarious if they got promoted before MK Dons
brb gonna run a FM sim w this team to see where they'd finish, ill be back with conclusive proof
Yep great vid man again
Sup Widdit Alfie, I watch ur vids everyday! keep that shit up I luv ur work!!
Best intro I have heard in awhile
Midfield and attack look good but I'd worry about Guéhi and Etheridge at the back and in goal.
Not really rejects all of them though. Chelsea's model was to hoover up every young player and loan them out to gain value to fund the instant demand for success. Not one of the players, if they stayed at Chelsea would be anywhere near the level they are now.
Agree De Bruyne might play for Milwall now 😂🐧
I think this team would finish in 2nd around 7 or 9 points behind Man City but this team is better than the current Chelsea team but obviously the current Chelsea team has a better keeper and defence but this attack is miles better than the current Chelsea attack
As a Chelsea fan, I completely agree with that statement despite winning against Leicester on Saturday, I do think that with this attack we’d be a lot better at breaking defences down especially with de bruynes crosses and brilliant passes than the current cfc attack
Hang on... You get to weaken Manchester City by taking De Bruyne --they might not finish so far behind! Also, Salah isn't on Liverpool. This would be an amazing team.
Do best manager at each age 40-65
Alright, I'm convinced. I'm starting a FM22 career with a Chelsea rejects team
De Bruyne got MOTM against Hull on the first day of the season and Mourinho was like "Naaaah"
That Mourinho second spell set Chelsea back massively both financially and time-wise,despite winning the league.
No wonder Emenalo tried so hard to stop his comeback
Suggestion : Opinion about how bad or good Parachute payment is in football
Can you do a video examining the amount of transfers/the transfer spend of clubs in every World Cup year? I imagine it’ll be higher than usual as players look for moves to get into World Cup squads
Etheridge was my fantasy keeper all season at Cardiff that year...he was awesome!!!
Day 312: Indonesia XI If All Eligible Players Had Declared For Them.
I thought you were joking, then I checked your comment history. 360 comments here…
Yep
@@NoCluYT I saw one from a few comments ago
Nope.
Dang almost a year of trying
Would be interesting too see a Arsenal and Manchester United version of this or even a Barcelona or Real Madrid
The way you do what's going wrong at clubs would be nice for the optimistic version so maybe a what's going right for Clubs who haven't had the best off luck over the last few season or maybe we're going nowhere fast but now seem to be on the up
Even tho some of those players didn't make it for us they ended doing well for themselves, good luck to them, I wish we did KDB a chance, Tomori as well, Abraham was still scoring but obviously had England squad place in mind so needed the move
Tomori is also an England U20 World Cup winner.
Think it should be noted that salah first was sent out on loan to Fiorentina as a part of the deal where Chelsea signed Cuadrado whitch i also feel should be included at RB
If you added Musiala, Smith Rowe, Nketiah and Billy Gilmour to that squad, I think they could challenge for the title. Definitely in contention for the top four.
Day 2 - Alfie, if you see this, pls do a video on Albania's Euro 2016 XI and where are they now?
A fine team which can easily be in a top 10 side at any European top four league, good friends!!!🙏
Bro imagine the amount of goals Tammy will get with KDB and Salah passing and crossing to him
Amount of players that got moved on and through in that era you could make a pretty competitive 25, never mind an 11
0:58 Barcelona , Amsterdam , Benfica: are a joke to you?😤
Fuck me this might be one of the first time I've heard you talk about Birmingham city 😂💙
Pasalic was indeed a bargain, a great player and a fantastic dressing room presence.
Not even a mention for Falcao at Center Forward
This list give me chest pains, especially with KDB
KDB is the only player on that list that I regret. Salah is heavily system dependent
@@tweteisepeter8183 he's been the best player in the EPL.
11 of players who got their dream move/ a big move but flopped
I would make a case for Cuadrado as first choice RB/RWB in place of Livramento. I rate Livramento, but Cuadrado has firmly stablished himself at Juventus as a leader and, while not the most talented or biggest star of the squad, one of the most consistent performers, specially during a few seasons where most those big stars have been underwhelming and inconsistent. He's also shown his versatility, playing in different positions and roles, as the managers and tactics have changed so often in recent years at the club, but always delivering with fairly good defensive work (not his strongest suit, but he'll put in the work) and impresive creation and attacking play on the wide right, in either a 4-4-2 , a 4-3-3, a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formation. He´s even deputised ocassionally on the left or as a more central midfielder. Stars and managers have come and gone, some having very disapointing spells at the club or having only positive impact temporarily, But Cuadrado has remained a consistent and solid performer, in a club that has been competing for the title in Italy (i'll admit their level has dropped recently, but they're still a threat) and regularly playing Champions League (again, their recent results have been bad, but they still play it regularly). Livramento is very talented and promising, and will likely have a succesfull career, but if you're taking their current level into consideration, I think Cuadrado deserves it more.
Was expecting Lukaku at center forward. Despite all your excuses, he's still the absolute best example of a Chelsea reject haha.
Chelsea are almost an embarrassment. They gather extremely creative players and fail to use them.
The story of Martin Palermo
Think this team is on par with the current Chelsea team. Top 4 contenders that could challenge for a title, I think their bench depth seemed good too. Add to this,if you Remove KDB and Salah from City and Liverpool, that significantly weakens those two teams and brings the gap a lot closer for this team to actually go for the title.
The way this is going we are going to europa league with man utd. Spurs and arsenal both look better then us.
Day 559: Ways to fix VAR with your suggestions
fikayo tomori and tammy abraham the ones that got away even though they played decent
HITC Sevens, as in 7’s, yes?
im sure chelsea, would if they could, pick at least 4 players from this to have in their starting 11 now
It will be Tomori, Rice, KDB, and Abraham now
Now do Man City rejects next! :D
As for where they would be in the Premiership? You need the right Manager. Sure, on paper, this team is great. But, you need the right Manager to keep the egos in check. And, that Manager will look for someone other than Etheridge,
£150m buy out clause for Rice.. I can imagine a club paying that if they are short in DM.
I'm not a Chelsea fan but I'm kinda sad that it didn't work out for Werner. I really wanted him to do well and stay in the Prem, I think he's a great player
Personally I'd be included to include Lukaku but I suppose they could still technically bring him back. On form, in a team giving him service, he's surely better than Tammy Abraham.
Niel Etheridge was a great keeper at Cardiff
2 - Do a video about red bull Ghana
Several years later there woild be a new 11 about Chelsea rejects
The reason why they sold or loan all of those players is because players sale is one of the main sources of income for the team
Day 7: a team with teenagers/the best young players to ever captain their senior side
I love that the 2 best players in the league were rejected by Chelsea. They must have the worst player recruiting staff ever
Can you do a video on the rise of Mauritanian football
you mentioned KDB standing out way above everyone else on that list, then you mention Mohamed Salah lol
Jamal Musiala will be on this list eventually if his current form dictates
They should have kept Rüdiger and given up Werner.
I wonder if Chukwuemeka is enjoying his first team football there?
I have a lot of Villa fans as mates who were all worried about him going. He's the next Jack Rodwell, for £20m Chelsea got fucking mugged off. He's an alright player, quite good for his age, but to look at the best centre mid in premier league history and say "I don't reckon you'll be able to advance my career, I'm going to sit on the bench at Chelsea" shows he hasn't got the head for it.
@@jordank1489 pretty sure he left Villa not Crystal Palace
With this squad, they can easily finish on the top 4th and even reach a champions league semifinal, there's an insane amount of firepower with Tomori, Rice, De Bruyne, Salah and Abraham alone.
Depends on the depth though. Still if Alfie made this a 23-men squad of Chelsea rejects they'll probably still be big-6 quality.
@@firmanimad also depends on if you Remove KDB and Salah from City and Liverpool, that significantly weakens those two teams and brings the gap a lot closer.
Salah and de bruyne in the same team, what could've been.
If you are counting werner then every player sold by Chelsea is technically a Chelsea reject
What is going on with Wolves, seems like everybody and his brother are laving and no new signings have been done. At this rate them and Leicester should be considered candidates for the drop.
Seems like Jamal Musiala could be on this at least on the bench.
Q1: Third behind City and Liverpool
Q2: Narrowly better than current Chelsea
Are there any other clubs in Europe that have a starting XI who never made it?
I'm surprised he narrowed it down to 11 🤣
Big up jamal blackman
To be honest, at times this team looks better than our current team
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 374)
I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
No Begovic?
7 top money transfers worth every penny
Isn't cuadrado a rb who played for Chelsea (even though I guess he played more often in midfield)
Is Filipe Luis still playing lol?
day 16:Make a video on Zico’s interestingly weird transfer to udinese
Abraham will end up going back to Chelsea me thinks
Tammy is going arsenal he's a big arsenal fan
@@leef-r2583 Just because someone is a fan of a club, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll end up playing for them. John Terry, for example, was a United fan.
Chelsea have let some class players go over the years it is mad to think they could of had a team to challenge for top four at least currently based on those players form haha 😄
To be fair KDB wouldn't have been a starter if he stayed
What about shevchenko
As much as I love Mourinho, releasing Salah, De Bruyne, and (young) Lukaku without giving them a proper chance.
