I remember my last game as a senior, state championship, was a sad time, but I went off to play college ball. Seems like yesterday, these young men will always remember hoisting that trophy up. Cherished times, real brotherhood in sports
Won by great coaching and fundamentals. As much as yes, they would have been destroyed by Westlake, Duncanville, North Shore, and of course North Crowley, they are still state champions and I will give them congratulations on the schools first state title.
It has been 7 seasons since Riley Dodge assumed the role as head coach of SLC and here is what we know: 1) Riley Dodge is not Todd Dodge 2.0. He is not and never will be the coach his father was. 2) SLC is ONLY about state championships and they have not hoisted a trophy since Hal Wasson was coach 13 years ago. 3) It does not matter if you go undefeated in the regular season and beat Keller Central 100-0. It only matters what happens in December. 4) There are now doubts about the future of this team among the Dragon faithful. Is it time for a change?
Aight...so say ya get rid of him. Who ya gonna replace him with? Also SLC's talent level isn't as good as when Daddy Dodge was at SLC...Especially on Defense (Got lit up the entire playoffs outside the 1st round.) Same issue Young Limeweaver is having at ET pretty much.

No, ruling is a handoff isn’t a forward pass so he was still able to throw the ball downfield as long as he was behind the line of scrimmage.
