@@jomiguides they make snow all the time on Australian mountain resorts. We just don't get enough snowfall and consistently low temperatures so if they didn't make snow then the snow base would be pretty patchy and not as deep.

It’s scary how normalised there not being any natural snow has become. It’s not normal. Were it not for energy and water intensive snow making, there would be very few reliable winter locations for events.
What? We've had the best winter in a decade in WNY area. The last two seasons were horrible though.
@ That’s one specific location. There’s yearly variation. But the overall trend is warmer winters, less snow, more rain.
@@christill No, global warming is generally a scam. Yes, our globe is slightly warming, but no where near what people are alluded to believe. We are in the 11 year cycle pinnacle of a solar maximum, and just had one of the coldest Januarys on record. The biggest thing that effects climate patterns is El Nino / La Nina which drive the pacific ocean's gyres.
I forget which we are in now, but it just switched from either La or El. Generally, when WNY gets a cold snowy winter, California gets drought like conditions and vise versa. Hence Cali's crazy snow the past two years, then having the worst wildfire in decades this year.
