With everything going on and horrible things to come to humanity, how can it be exciting? There will be so many people that will die. Innocent people. Famines, disease, poverty, the enslavement and persecution of Christians and dissidents. I struggle with this. It's frightening. Exciting to know our saviour is coming, but not before we suffer immeasurable pain, hunger, disease and loss of life. Nothing exciting about that. Being in a state of grace is not going to stop authorities from harming those who don't comply. It is so so scary. 😢

I adore the sacrament of Holy Communion but don’t understand how this is our help and protection during these tribulation days when perhaps the priesthood cannot minister to the laity because the churches are closed. Advice.

After losing my wife, this 1000 years of peace does not sound as good as the second coming. This 1000 year peace is not a clear statement from Jesus in scripture (nor in the St Faustina diaries), where it says judgement is soon (second coming). The second coming sounds better for me.

I do believe in the Rapture, because I believe the Bible teaches it. I also believe that it's possible to reconcile the Rapture with Catholic teachng (i.e., if the Bible *does* teach it, then it would coincide with Catholic teaching, of course). In my opinion, it just needs to be understood in a proper context, and I just don't think a proper understanding of it has manifested itself within the Church, possibly for 2 reasons: 1.) It is a mystery, by default, and 2.) Since it was first touched upon (or "discovered") by Protestants, the Church's first knee-jerk reaction against it was that it must be wrong, and we won't touch it because it's Protestant. This, obviously, is a wrong reason to approach a doctrine.

Go check out tim stamples he can tell you all about it is dangerous and you can be mislead and probably loose your salvation.

@@r.c4914 Lose one's salvation? Meaning no disrespect, but even if doctrines about the Rapture are incorrect, it doesn't even make sense that one would lose their salvation because they were mistaken about the Rapture. It's not even logical that that would be the case.
Now, Tim Staples might know a lot of things, but since the Rapture hasn't been adequately studied from the Church's point-of-view, it's already clear that Tim Staples wouldn't have an adequate grasp about it, as he's only examined it from the Protestant stance (which is problematic).
The reason why I believe it, is because it's taught in the Bible, not because someone else convinced me of it. Not Darby, not Scoffield, nobody. Scripture. Many Protestants don't even understand the Rapture from a Biblical view, only what they've learned in seminary.
Protestants don't realize it happens right at the 6th seal in Revelation. Rev. 7 is literally the Rapture. One can line that passage up with how the Lord speaks of His return in Matt. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Jesus said "one will be taken, and the other left."
Jesus said "As it was in the days of Noah and Lot, so it will be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man." What happened in the days of Noah? God saved epople by preserving them on a boat, saving them out of the Flood. Bad analogy? Okay, let's look at Lot. What happened in Lot's day? *Angels came to take Lot and his family OUT of Sodom BEFORE judgment fell.* On top of it, the angels told Lot "We can do NOTHING until you and your family are OUT." That's Scripture.
Jesus said: "One will be taken, the other left." The Disciples said "Where, Lord?" He said "Wherever the body is, there the vultures will gather." He is the body that the vultures gather to.
Anyway, I could go on. Enoch was Raptured. Elijah was Raptured. Mary was assumed bodily into Heaven, and she is a picture of the Church!
There's even more, I could go on. Check out the book of Wisdom. There are references in the Psalms. There are references in Isaiah. In Joel. Other places.
In all of this, I have only referenced Scripture, I haven't even brought up Darby, the Plymouth Brethren, Scoffield, or any other person. It's there, in the Bible.
@@r.c4914 Btw, I'm listening to that Tim Staples talk now. He's obviously right about a lot of things, from the Catholic view, but he's wrong too on a lot of things. First of all, he only understands the Rapture from a Dispensational/Protestant perspective, and the Rapture doesn't rest upon Dispensational Protestant theology. It's just that there aren't that many who have understood it Biblically APART from Dispensational Protestantism. So, that's point one.
Point two: While he's correct that the Church is Israel, he seems to think that the Rapture hinges upon the Dispensational belief that the Church and ISrael are two different things, or that the Jews are Israel. This is a huge mistake many people make. First of all, Jews aren't Israel, Jews are from the tribe of Judah. Gadites aren't Jews, Issacharites aren't Jews, Naphthalites aren't Jews, Benjaminites aren't Jews (unless they lived in Judea at the time, which is why St. Paul, a Benjaminite, calls himself also a Jew, because he lived in Judea, and practiced Judaism..... the religion of Judah), and so on.
Only Israel is ever saved, all 12 tribes (Rev. 7, where Israel is Raptured), and non-Israelites (Japhethites, Hamites, including Canaanites, Hagarenes, Ishmaelites, etc.) are *grafted into* the commonwealth of Israel by faith (Rom. chps. 9-11).
In fact, the understanding of the Church has always been that its expansion into the world constituted the physical regathering of Israel, in preparation for the return of Christ. It is simply that, with time (as it says in the book of Daniel) knowledge would increase, and more things would become known the further along in history that we go. That's why the doctrine of the Rapture came out in the last century. As Protestants studied Scripture, they discovered many things, some true, some false, but all worth understanding in their true sense. If they're off on something, it merely remains to correct the view, keeping what is true, and correcting what is false.
Catholics simply have not allowed themselves to study the Rapture because they think it's a Protestant fiction. If this is so, then why is it so obvious from Scripture? Tim is correct in saying that one won't find the Dispensational worldview in Scripture. Yes. But that doesn't mean one won't find the Rapture there, because the Rapture (even though it was popularized by them) isn't tied to Dispensationalism. Indeed, they don't even understand it properly, nor do they know where to find it in Revelation (they think it's in Chapter 4, or alternatively in chapter 11..... both are wrong).
I could use another example: the Charismatic movement. The Catholic Church has appropriated the "Charismatic Renewal" even though it started with Protestants. Well? The same goes for the Rapture. It merely needs to be reconciled with Catholic understanding.
