As a collector, my favorite part was definitely the walls of games and paraphernalia! Something I bet you can relate to! It's so nice to see this history being preserved as best they can!
I love Nintendo because they create things that are so unexpected. I have read many books about the history of Nintendo, and this museum will be the perfect culmination of everything I have read about.
I still gotta watch the musuem direct. I sure hope the museum gets popular enough they extend it to the states just like they did with super Nintendo world.
Sorry for blowing this video up but Carl is phenomenal! I’m completely hooked trying to find the trading cards and other secrets. The dialog is very charming. The music, my god the music is next level. I hope you print strategy guides or a nintendrew power issue for it!
I have viewed the video of the Nintendo Museum and was blown away by all the products and IPs that Nintendo has developed and produced in the company's lifetime. When I watched Miyamoto-San playing the game with the Zapper while the others used the Super Scope, Miyamoto-San looked like a kid in a candy store. No other video game company has such a rich and intriguing history than Nintendo.
An important tidbit about the Super Hand is that it was their first nontabletop toy (and it was originally an invention one of Nintendo's top inventors created in is spare time for himself back when he was just a regular employee, not as a product prototype).

Received my notification that I got my tickets. Went to buy them and it requires you to call a number to verify yourself as not a bot. It has a number for outside Japan but it doesn’t add 011 for North America calls. After 6-7 failed attempts I realized this but it finally verified me and I was able to buy tickets. Very excited to see the museum and the details Drew pointed out.
It’s really cool they included the NES. I’m guessing they expect a lot of tourists to come visit. I went to Kyoto last year, and I was wearing a shirt with the Super NES controller on it. A lot of the locals were confused why the buttons were purple.
As someone who's going to Japan in February, this Direct couldn't have come at a more perfect time. There's some genuinely cool stuff here that I would've never expected, so I'm hoping that I end up getting accepted in the raffle when the time comes.
The raffle will make it hard to visit. Because now you have to coordinate winning the raffle with booking the airline tickets and hotel, and the two may not line up properly.
WOW cool stuff, I hope one day I'll see all of this at the museum 🙏♥️✨ I'm also a new subscriber and I'm already loving your content 🎉🎉 keep up the amazing work!!
They probably didn’t do giant Gamecube controllers because of the shoulder buttons. You can get away with N64 because virtually none of the games used L and R, and many didn’t use Z, but that wasn’t the case the following generation. I’m a bit surprised that they went with “Super Mario Kart” for SFC, you can’t play it all that effectively without L and R.
Interesting that they put Super Mario Bros 2 after Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World.... I guess they treat it as "Super Mario Bros USA" and 1990 is when it released in Japan.
I already entered the raffle for a ticket! I was already going to Japan in mid-October so it was a pleasant surprise to see it open during my trip. Hope I get the chance to buy a ticket!
I doubt you will see this but I found a article and animaniacs lights camera action ds that said it was canceled before release but I found a reddit article of someone asking if they had it but someone responded saying when he was 9 they went to go buy it but they had it out of stock and they were not taking the trip to another state to get it idk if you figured this out yet but there you go
I'll be honest. The second floor looks boring. Even to someone who's a massive nintendo history fan. You either don't know what the items on display are and they just look like random toys. Or you already know what these are and there's nothing new to learn. Where are the placards actually telling you what the things on display are and teaching you some history?
But wait Drew! What were those numbers? *bla bla about reginal sales* Oh you lazy ass we love! October 1985 ofc they got dates... Come on Drew!!! Still a fan! (I'm from France you are international) Ty for the visit!
Nintendrew if you are reading this, you are a real one
i'm awaiting the return of Playstasean.........
Nice coverage, didn't think to check reflections

yep! and we shall continue preserving stuff ourselves too!
I still gotta watch the musuem direct. I sure hope the museum gets popular enough they extend it to the states just like they did with super Nintendo world.
Actually what would be cool is if they took some of the exhibits "on tour" as it were, like to various major game conventions in different cities.
Good stuff, hope to see one day the museum
A lot more interesting than I thought. Could you imagine Wii bowling on one of those giant things? Haha!

Perhaps Nintendrew should open a US branch of the Nintendo museum. Right there in his home.
They better have exhibit with all of the arcade machines, including Sky skipper and wild gunman
Even if they’re not playable
I think the Nintendo museum looks so amazing with lots of cool Nintendo stuff I'd be in heaven if I saw that
They didn't forget the Virtual Boy!😭
That museum was really cool!

Thanks for bringing all the details in this video Chadtronic
I didn't see the VB controller like "how did I missed it".

The Zappers and Super Scopes seem to have been reproduced, not repurposed.
A little over a week until October 2nd? Man time is flying

I would go to Japan just to visit that museum
5:11 Objectively the highlight edit of the entire video

of course they open just two weeks after i visit japan for the first time.. just my luck T~T
Do you think there are some development kits or fusions like Sony/Nintendo in the Exhibition? That would be interesting stuff!

I hope they have development hardware in the museum
thank you for the info! cant wait to visit it!

Did anyone else notice that Miyamoto-san, when he was demoing the Game and Watch thing, was holding his hands like the juggling animation from Smash?
@3:31 the "Game & Watch" was flipped here
You look like if Lockstin had darker hair.
Just bought C.a.r.l. Super pumped to try it!
I'm gonna do a nick robinson and get a ticket to japan when this comes out
Just don't pull a Nick Robinson in a different fashion.
I hope to one day find the secrets Nintendo hid in me

Exactly right!
Very good content and research
Wariowares character, 9volt would be amazed at this museum
"wii remote"
You mean wiimote
I already entered the raffle for a ticket! I was already going to Japan in mid-October so it was a pleasant surprise to see it open during my trip. Hope I get the chance to buy a ticket!
Giant wii-motes are wild.
And I own a part of that.... it's a very small part, not that inflated thanks to the 5:1 split in stock applying to everyone.
over a week? you mean a Month! October isn't until after September!
LOL good catch
@@Nintendrewdo a collection overview! may very well be multiple parts tho
