If you want to learn a language, Flamish would be the best hence Flamish is the mix of French and English.
It is possible to forget our native language. When I came back from the US, I had difficulty speaking in Hungarian. I understood still but I could not speak as well as a Hungarian who always lived here.
This 12 hrs shift is too long and I do not know how I take it but I have to. Good side: I'll have 4 days at home!
