This is so impressive! I can't even imagine how many hours of old movie dance footage the creator went through to get the dancing to sync with the song!
I love this video! On a historical note, when you see Shirley Temple (little blonde girl) dancing with the wonderful black butler, is the 1st time in film history when black and white came together, held hands and danced together on screen. A beautiful scene in more ways than one

A couple of things that aren't well known is that the original choreography didn't have the two holding hands while they danced. It was Shirley Temple who insisted that be added to the choreography. This dance routine on the stairs is Signature Bo Jangles and Shirley Temple is the only person he ever personally taught that dance to.
That was so much fun. I’ve been watching those kind of videos on RUclips nobody dances like they did in the 30s 40s 50s and 60s. Amazing so much fun to watch.♥️🙂👍🙏
Thank you for airing this video, absolutely loved it. Have always loved this song, but loving old movies too (being a senior citizen), this was awesome. Showing my age, I remember almost every movie and loved them all.
It would be really cool for you to react to some of these movies. Also, a huge cultural education to learn about the artists in these clips! Did you notice that some of the film clips are almost 100 years old!
Did you notice Frank Sinatra? Gene Kelly, Fred Astare, best dancers of all time. Michael Jackson would study both of them, he said his favorite dancers...
If you're going to study dancing you need to study the best. That's why Michael was as good as he was. He was one of the few modern performers that had the disablin of these old stars. A quality sadly lacking nowadays.
I felt happy watching you be happy! I’ve had an emotionally draining week and this was the best remedy! I love you and your adorable reactions. Thank you☮💜
Gene Kelly was my favorite dancer back in the day. Athletic build compared to Fred Astaire's slimness. I recommend, "An American in Paris" & "Singing in the Rain" the latter also features Donald O'Conner & Debbie Reynolds.
Thanks, Jayy! I saw this a while ago, and LOVED it... lol (you should totally check out the Nicholas Brothers... ).. yep, people had rhythm back in the day... lol
this is excellent. I never get tired of seeing it! I actually watch these silver scene classics. I'll tell you what, you had to dance, sing, and act to get into Hollywood back then. They were bad-a**!
The lady in pink cracking the whip was Lucille Ball. I believe I’ve seen all these musicals. Guess I’m just a fan of those kinds of movies. They’re all worth a watch…..won’t see that kind of dancing again I’m afraid. Cheers
Modern actors have it easy nowadays. Back when these films were made, you had to sing dance and act to just get an audition. They don't make them like they used to.
If you like this, there's another fantastic video like this but set to 'I'm So Excited' by The Pointer Sisters. I'd argue that it's even better than this!
Hi Ms. Jayy, U should check out KM Music 1 on RUclips; dancing set to Music & Movies, some old stuff.. They had a KM Music channel with lots of videos but something happened to their Channel, lost it all.. They started over with KM Music 1.. ♠W.G.
That's what you called dancing ! If you ever watch old movies you see all these dancing now days ! They were great dancers back then ! So don't think step up movies were the first to do this kind of stuff !!!
This is so impressive! I can't even imagine how many hours of old movie dance footage the creator went through to get the dancing to sync with the song!
Top Hat is one of the all-time best musicals 😊
In the seventies there were a few movies that were nothing but clips of old musicals, called "That's Entertainment!"
I’ll bet I’ve watched that video at least 30 times over the years. Maybe more.

I love this clip. I am an old movie buff & have probably seen 90% of these films.
Me too
Isn't this so cool? It just goes to show, the music may sound different, but a beat, is a beat, is a beat. ❤
Every time I watch this I can't help but have a big grin on my face
Such a fun video. Great song. Great classic movie dances. Great reaction. All the best.
Thank you for airing this video, absolutely loved it. Have always loved this song, but loving old movies too (being a senior citizen), this was awesome. Showing my age, I remember almost every movie and loved them all.
Somebody spent a lot of time putting this all together with such brat/tempo accuracy. Love it!
I've seen this b4. So glad we could share it together. I know most of those scenes... feels like visiting old friends--very talented old friends=)
Thanks so much for this. I loved watching it. Very cool.
I enjoyed watching Uptown Funk
Love old Hollywood they had so much class and morals then. Cheers girl🥂

Did you notice Frank Sinatra? Gene Kelly, Fred Astare, best dancers of all time.

I love this, I've watched it a few times. Lol I've seen most of the movies/musicals these screen shots.
For the movies...check out Singing in the Rain ❤️
WOW!!!!! THAT WAS GREAT!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING JAYY!!!!!
what a masterpiece
Back in the days when movies were entertaining & the stars actually had talent.
I felt happy watching you be happy! I’ve had an emotionally draining week and this was the best remedy! I love you and your adorable reactions. Thank you☮💜
I'm with you, this video Just Makes Me Happy...and, now, watching you enjoy it makes me even happier!☮️
Her reaction was definitely a mood booster!☮💜
That is one of the best videos on this site....it's amazing....
Gene Kelly was my favorite dancer back in the day. Athletic build compared to Fred Astaire's slimness. I recommend, "An American in Paris" & "Singing in the Rain" the latter also features Donald O'Conner & Debbie Reynolds.
Love to hear you laugh! Great reaction.
So glad you liked it! So many great old movies out there. Someone did one helluva an editing job!
Thanks, Jayy! I saw this a while ago, and LOVED it... lol (you should totally check out the Nicholas Brothers... ).. yep, people had rhythm back in the day... lol

This is so cool…I haven’t seen it in a long time.
AHHH-mazing -- Sinatra was in there :)
Your reactions are the best!
That was sooo Amazing!!!!!
TURN IT UP!!!!
This was fricken awesome
Yes love this video 😀😀😀
Good video good reaction
Totally awesome!
So much fun!!
Probably wasn't as difficult as I would believe but I could watch James Cagney coming down those stairs for hours.
Such an amazing video!!
BEST effort EVER!!
There used to be one like this put to western scenes but RUclips pulled the plug on it - it too had a lot of work put into it.
Have seen all those classic movies
Loved it!!! I just Subscribed!
The lady in pink cracking the whip was Lucille Ball. I believe I’ve seen all these musicals. Guess I’m just a fan of those kinds of movies. They’re all worth a watch…..won’t see that kind of dancing again I’m afraid. Cheers
My mom loved this video! She LOVED Bruno Mars! Just lost her in August. 🥲 so much fun
Love it!!!! ❤
You are AWESOME
Modern actors have it easy nowadays. Back when these films were made, you had to sing dance and act to just get an audition. They don't make them like they used to.
This is great 👍
I love "mashups" wish I could see more but most have dissapeared from the platform.
soooo cool!!!!
Uptown Funk.
All great movies
Look up Elanor Powell. Fred Astaire said she was the only female dancer that intimidated HIM. Not Ginger Rogers. She was in this a LOT.
Great, You should react to one of my favorite old time movies TopHat.
Would love it if you could react to Hardy Wait in the Truck. ❤️
Hey Jayy: Have you gotten around to the amazing Grace Jones yet? Try the live video for Demolition Man or frankly anything that she does.
When you realize that your great-grandparents could dance better than you'll ever be able to. Ever.
Cool has been around forever.
You should react to Robbie Williams but his music video of "Rock DJ"
If you like this, there's another fantastic video like this but set to 'I'm So Excited' by The Pointer Sisters. I'd argue that it's even better than this!
