Definitely the reason. They want shills they can trust to say the standard language. If you’re not getting 50,000 views, or you’re. It getting free product from stern , or paid, it’s not worth it at all.

When you live in an apartment and swap your master bedroom for a smaller bedroom so you can add more 1ups, you clearly have a problem. All those toys could have paid for a down payment on a house....something his kids deserve. It's really sad

Nice !! You will NOT be disappointed. I finally read the rules sheet the other day . I like to try to figure things out myself , but I had a few things I didn’t understand. It made the game so much more fun just understanding how “Sonic Radio “ works. But just get to the cities and try to beat the cities to start. So much fun.

You know what is the most saddest thing about arcade1up is? Its not the products themselves, its the fact people use them to turn there house into an arcade. They were originally designed to be a casual piece that fits in your living room or somewhere. Like not take over your place, fit into it.
They let the 1ups take over . They could do renovations or put in a pool, or make an extension on their house , or do whatever else , but instead they buy 30 1ups , line them up, and watch them collect dust . I have arcades that collect dust , but at least they are in the garage and not taking over my house.
@@therexershow Exactly, I have a ridge racer arcade1up which I love and play all the time. A street fighter arcade1up and they sit in the corner of my living where you walk in and it works perfect there. Then I have a gaming office setup with a frogger countercade Sega Astro city mini, and various small arcades that serve there purpose. Also have a small CRT tv sitting on the desk with them also which I use for just about any arcade game I can find. However my room is not changing not growing just smarter use of space for my arcade feels. Everyone's happy.

Well you've helped keep a lot of money in my pocket by bringing to light the amount of shilling in the home arcade space. And not just there. I'm a big fan of LEGO and enjoy buying a more adult set every now and then that scratches my nostalgia bug, and that space is flooded with shameless promoting for access and compensations. Most recently, they came out with a really expensive $500 LOTR set. And a slew of "influencers" got their free set. Yet none of them disclose that that are affiliated with LEGO whatsoever. In fact, most will say "the thoughts and opinions are solely mine". Despite getting a free $500 set and a jump on all other channels on the up and up. In the end I asked myself "what would Rexer say", and saved me maybe a impulse buy. And I can't imagine how many of these content creators are influencing viewers spending habits....many going way out of their budget.
I have a Lego addiction. Very small. But I want to buy every Star Wars one. For now I just collect the helmets. But I can name 30 things I didn’t buy in the arcade space that I have zero regrets.

I estimate the amount of 1ups cornercade spent is in the ballpark of 25,000-30,0000 dollars and that's based on how many he has × $500 which i think if I'm correct its 50 units? That's a down payment on a house!
I think he has bought around 30 or so but with all the mods he’s done and added to each one , he’s got $700 -$1000 into each one. He needs to sell them all. Put a down payment on a house , and rebuild an arcade in the basement. Everyone is happy.

@@therexershow That makes the most sense but the resale value is bad where I live- can't get much out of them. I Have 5 and only 2 of them were new and the F&F I got for 399 - done buying them have what I want. The only thing I want to invest right now is a better pool table than what I have and eventually a real pinball. Longterm when my arcade 1ups go out I will look at building a multicade now that I understand more about the products and what's out there.
Why not loan Venom Stern pinball to someone who actually worked on Spiderman-2 the movie (ie. Myself) who loves pinball. I think it’s a mistake by these companies to promote their products to channels like SuperGameRoomDudes (ie. MichaelB) who have a reputation for shilling whatever they can to receive free products and super chats. Look at his subscriber count then compare it to the view count on his videos and number of people in his livestreams. A whopping 32,000 subs with 100 livestream viewers translates to people knowing this guys is full of it. In MichaelB’s latest livestream he even makes it a point that he doesn’t get many super chats anymore… why make that point if it’s not a priority to you.
(Reference: MichaelBGameGenie Livestream “Do we really need these home arcade products anymore?” @ 55:13 where he mentions he doesn’t get super chats anymore)
As for cornercade… you can do whatever you want with your time, money, and channel but at what point do you wake up and realize that you don’t need to sacrifice the comfort of your home to your hobby. A hobby should not impede on the quality of you or your loved ones
Mikey, we know why Mike does this , it’s for the money and he accidentally lets it known here and there. But you said it better than me. When it impedes on quality of life , you have to reel it back. Doesn’t matter if it’s real arcades , or 1ups, gotta reel it back sometimes.

I peeped all his videos, eager to see a glut more, and there was like THREE? 🤷♂️ And, he conned the loaners off a distro *I* have used. He really got one over on THEM. 😅🤦♂️
Kong was a 1up shill. A year ago he was passing out Arcade 1up tshirts at bars and crap. Then they died and had to find a new Gig because his 1up inside connection was gone. Now he’s a pinhead stern shill supposedly. Why these guys just can’t enjoy pinball without the suckup BS to stern is beside me.

The video was either AI written or plagiarized. No way that dude wrote something that sanitized and overdone verbiage. We're making a video about pinball not a college thesis on one. Regardless Stern is failing hard at marketing. They're doing so incredibly bad and I swear they don't know who they're marketing to. Is it home buyers? Venue managers? Fans? New players? New buyers? Who is their market because I swear they don't know.
Sad, Cornercade wasted a lot of money on things that won't last more then maybe 5 or 6 years.

Wow I find it unbelievable and honestly disturbing for Restalgia to basically come in and exploit Stern the way he has. I just don’t know how this guy (who probably has never played a real pinball machine before) can take full advantage of this program and in return do basically nothing for Stern. It’s honestly sad, Restalgia can’t even give real details on the product due to his lack of knowledge and experience which means he’s hardly capable of selling a product with that kind of exotic price tag. Most buyers aren’t going to buy a $7000-10000 pinball machine unless they have solid details on it from a reputable source. Literally anybody could look at the artwork and IP and talk about it as a selling point… nobody needs to watch a video for that
It makes me wonder his intentions on why to do even do it. Is he that concerned about his channel and trying something new, is he simply doing it to spite other RUclipsrs and not let them be in the program. How mad is Mike B right now? Lol. There wasn’t one comment on his video of anyone actually interested in buying a pinball. There wasn’t one serious question in the comments. A waste of time and energy for both parties involved. But the reason he is even in the program is because of bee Kong soliciting for his friends.

I just want to get this right , promoting a product for self benefit and giving a positive opinion on every item for self gain and putting Fomo into people to buy is NOT gatekeeping, but giving an opinion where you don’t like something IS gatekeeping.
