Great memories of seeing Wes race the Pops-tuned GS1000S.

I rode my Gs1000s for 10 years and even my passengers praised the comfort. The swing-arm from the Gsx1100E fitted in with only the pillion holders needing to be slightly bent (3mm) outwards on the Left-side with heat to clear the frame. Also changed from 18“ to 17“ rear-wheel along with suspension improvements gave my bike excellent handling.

Suzuki needs to build these type bikes again. They were great fun & reliable for endless miles. Plus they were COMFORTABLE. And could ride them almost everywhere. Great styling & geometry- meaning it looked right. If a bike doesn't look right, I stay off it. All of the Japanese bikes of that period were top notch & fun without breaking the bank. Plus they sounded great. Honda CBX 1000 six/ best sounding bike ever with open exhaust/therapeutic-makes you feel alive. Thanks for posting. P.S. don't care for the headlight fairing-(ugly). These 2 bikes are very quiet.
