ATP Overwatch back at it. I’m so hyped and ngl I’m hoping that ssg actually go far. It will be tough with knockouts being I think single elimination. Also I really want Toronto defiant to continue their mid alligations but unfortunately they went to become Toronto ultra… ugh.. Toronto defiant mid curse could be ruined.
With Zeta division and Fnatic i think its also important to just mention how much of a boost it is having an org backing your team. The added structure and security does so much to help a team thrive. Just look at the boost a team like FMCL got after having timeless help them
I think it’s important to note that there are hero bans in this touttment aka you ban a hero and no team can use that hero. So once again might be in trouble if teams ban like Winston against once again.
Hero bans and how it's explained and handled is one of the most interesting points in this tournament. People have been wanting it in OW for years and now we finaly test it. I hope there won't be too long pauses between maps, but it's gonna take some time.
@@fusili yeah although hero bans happen before you lock in your roster for that map. So like if ban one players strong suit for a map, then they’ll just bring in another player to play a different tank/dps. I.e it’s circuit and one team bans sig so Vestolla gets subbed out so Mirror can play a certain hero or smtg.
I will again be rooting for Zeta/FTG. I think Fearless is the missing component that they needed, not just his skills but his leadership. Bernar has the skills and am a huge fan but I don't think he motivates his team the same way Fearless can. Fearless will rally the troops if he is playing or watching from the sidelines. It seems similar to the old SF Shock, Smurf with mad mechanics but Super would get the team going if he was playing or not.

Ok i have a bone to pick with this space station beat Atlanta in the 2023 owl playoffs narrative. That was, by all metrics, a massive underperformance by Atlanta and space station got their shit run in by Boston like, consistently. The idea that space station is able to consistently compete or beat top flight Korean teams is completely false. They got smoked in owcs Dallas and I don’t see why that wouldn’t happen again. Also the idea that rush is not good for Korean teams is complete cope. Literally the tier 2 contenders team runaway all came up owl in 2019 and immediately won the stage and proved they were the best rush team.
One thing you didn’t mention about what could hurt Spark is hero bans what if Winston get banned? What if Sojourn gets banned? What if Ana gets banned? Ect they are very 1 dementiionoa and are all out of practice could see them going out early with those factors. Also ENCE haven’t been scrimming in KR, majorly downgraded at backline, and Mirror doesn’t give me confidence on maps Sig are banned Kev, Kai is good but their are better teams with similar caliber or straight up better dps lines.
If you ban a character both teams won't be able to use them, winston gets banned they can flex to doom, soj isn't meta anyways banning her won't affect any team's gameplay. Ana gets banned both teams won't be able to use ana which is gonna throw a lot of teams off. I don't really think good teams are gonna ban lucio/ana, it'll just completely break what they were practicing. Ence is doomed tho, but still will perform like the EU 2nd seed, can't take it to top KR teams but maybe and SSG but can take NA and other regions
@@shlokdhara5798 doom is not a viable character rn and what would Shy play if Sojourn is banned? Hes not flexible off hs whosoever. ENCE I think are scrued their backline is Significantly worse and maps Sig is banned I worry for them
@@baseebird Doom wasn't viable in world cup and owl playoffs too, sigma/bastion/sym are the worst dive matchups but they still somehow made it work. You are just blatantly wrong about shy, he's has an extremely good soj but he isn't a one trick, he can play any hs to a high level, you can just watch pre 2022 vods. Hitscans don't need to be too flexible, you'll rarely see a hitscan on anything other that ashe/cass/widow rn, only places where they play anything else is when its double flex meta, which it isn't rn. The only map which has a double flex meta is illios(tracer/echo) and shy should a decent tracer there against boston in playoffs. ENCE have only been losing due to a weak backline everyone knows that, if ence had astro/landon backline they would've been EU top seed rather than ssg, their backline has always been bad

You're writing off Bleed way too much. They are the best team from a region that has proven they can compete with Korea at least better than NA can. I'll be very surprised if Bleed loses to M80 and I expect they'll beat a weakened ENCE too.
The only way they can qualify is gonna be if they beat M80 and M80, unlike Zeta, aren’t a top tier Korean team so they won’t go easy out of pity.
@topatoman ftg was soft trolling on the 5 map they played against bleed but I agree they're underrated. I don't think they can beat ence and tr33 spectra is a nasty dps line, maybe 5 map against m80 but I still think m80 is a tiny bit better, enough to be above them.
