  • The Zhuecheng Line (蔗埕線) was originally a short section of the Nanjing Line (南靖線). The Nanjing Line is 10.7 kilometers long. It has been a trial operation line. It starts from Garlic, passes through Thái Bảo Farm(太保農場), and reaches Nanjing Station. Because Thái Bảo Farm later became the reservation site for the Chiayi Station of the high-speed rail, the Nanjing Line has been cut off, and only a short section near the Garlic Sugar Mill is still running sightseeing trains. In line with the Forward-looking Infrastructure Construction Plan, this line is planned to be extended to the Chiayi High Speed Rail Station and the South Campus of the National Palace Museum at both ends, and the second phase will be extended to the Chiayi County Government. The current phase 1 extension of the High-speed Rail Chiayi Station section has started in October 2021 and will be officially opened to traffic on October 8, 2022. The Phase 1.5 extension of the rail to the south courtyard of the Forbidden City has been officially operated on October 7, 2023.
