Interesting and informative Tim, nice to catch the two tour, didn't realize they took the 67 0ff and replaced with a pair of 66s, very good weather for the tours north this bank holliday, cheers Steve .
The 67 - a very rare visitor to Carlisle. Beautifully turned out but I have to say that I don't like the looks of the class - squat and Germanic (oh dear - it's probably illegal to say that in Scotland as from today) - purely a personal opinion,- I'm sure they're fine locomotives.
Looks like I wasn't alone with what we took! Make the best of what we have - good editing! The 67 was in Royal maroon - but typically it tends to render as almost black. Still, a fun day.
It was an interesting day to put it mildly. The first of a series of days when nothing went quite according to plan. There's an old military saying that no plan survives the first encounter with the enemy!
Another lovely video Tim well done great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on RUclips bye for now Philip
I don't like the box shape locomotives much either. I think because they are designed on PC which are not so good at drawing curves the designers make it easy on themselves and draw easy boxy shapes. The old draughtsmen took pride in making a locomotive look pleasing to the eye. It looks like you had a good day out.
- - the first of three long days away filming - utterly exhausted and still full of cold from my London weekend - I really should have taken up stamp collecting! Given a choice between Patrick Stirling's single wheelers and class 67, I know which one I'd choose. Don't know how the Stirling would fare on an Eastleigh to Carlisle run, though.
@@schoolshorts I hope you get a good rest after today. I missed your London tri. I will have a look at that. Yes a Stirling single for me too graceful elegant design. It would struggle with the weight of that train though and need a lot of stops on the way.

Yes, we were rather lucky with the weather, weren't we. Good to meet you at Kirkby Stephen - hope you enjoyed your day. Best wishes.
Good to see something different at Carlisle. 67 looks good in black.👍

@@schoolshorts i do agree some modern traction is very box like.
Very good, I good them at Lockerbie but nearly missed 47712, so I only got a video of the coaches and got the push pull on Sunday at Dumfries.
Thank you. I'll look forward to seeing them James.
That’s an unusual colour scheme on that loco being hauled by the two DRS locos
But it rather suits it, don't you think?
Outstanding video Tim. Good to see you then and on Saturday.
Thanks Kate. The Kirkby Stephen video is still editing - both you and a certain 4-year-old appear in it - hope you're OK with that.

i think you can get the train from mitonkeyns to Marylebone
You may be right. Living in Scotland, I'm not too familiar with train services in that part of the country.
What’s happened to your sound!? 🏴
Perhaps it's caught my cold!
