Would it be easier/way cheaper to buy a 2011-14 300 SRT and just swap the Transmission. All I want really is just the 8speed trans in it.

Your best bet is to buy a donor car you will save a lot of money in the long run. Try IAAI or Copart.

You need to cut a very tiny bit of the supporting bars in the hood, otherwise the hood would rattle and shake as hell in the potholes and in high speed.

If I had the $$$, I'd offer the owner some money for his existing powertrain and perk up our Chrysler(have a '14 300C w/5.7 hemi and tune/2.5" factory R/T exhaust/reprogrammed 5 speed NAG1/180 stat/91 octane tune with MDS delete/JBA shorty headers)!
