I am a chaplain and have been walking with Lord for 45 years. A person started to slander me to others and the slander spread for 20 miles. I am terrified of this person now. I have forgiven but don't feel I am honoring God or myself to put myself in a vulnerable place again with this slanderer.
The purpose of every christian is to manifest his glory on the earth even more than what jesus did whirlst on the earth. We should build on the foundation christ whether is precious stones or wood, hay and stubble. Every mans work will be tested with fire.
You are getting a lot of flak from modern day pharasees. Stay focussed on this gospel that paul preached that is Christ in you, the expectation of glory. Whatever is in your consciousness thats what you will manifest. Thats the solution and a challenge to modern teachings concerning God.

We are to love all but that doesn’t mean we are to trust all. We can maintain love in our heart while removing ourselves from toxic situations.
