  • On a rating of Coffeevaner Coffee Beans it scores a very average 5 beans out of 10 but read on for an explanation as it may be perfect for you.
Located on the outskirts of Glenrothes in Fife, the site offers a great location for the local area and for that and its ease of access it can't be faulted.
Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Facilities are clean and of a high standard.
With just over 80 pitches dug into woodland it isn't the best for a caravan with awning on some parts of the site. Grass pitches are certainly the largest, most level and the best located for caravans.
Pitching under trees in late May was a big mistake for a week. Power bollards may be some distance from your pitch so extra long cables are a necessity. Ramps are also essential on many pitches. Lastly the ground on our hardstanding was rock hard. We even bent rock pegs trying to pitch the awning.
Down on the car park style section, we experienced quite a bit of noise from the housing estate over the site wall which is peoples back gardens but there again it was a bank holiday so maybe to be expected. It didn't bother our grandson but it was an issue to us.
To say the pitch we were on was tight is an understatement. We could have moved but the site was pretty much full.
There is no dog walk or children's play on the site but there are parks within minutes of the site entrance.
Reading back, you'd think this wasn't a very nice site but if you're prepared and like we've said, had we been on a grass pitch, the review may well have been very different.
One last note which is specifically down to our stay was the lack of pitch etiquette. Walking through pitches, climbing over low pitch fences and staring in the windows from 3 inches in front of caravan A Frame isn't very nice.
On that basis, we won't be returning to the site unfortunately but that doesn't mean to say you won't have a fantastic stay as many reviews on google will say.

We loved it there. There’s shade / shelter from the trees and open pitches too. The big parks next door and across the road made it ideal for walks and the shops in the village were very convenient too. Lovely area to stay with plenty to see locally 😃 Trev

O that def looks like a car park. Wouldn't do for me. Far too regimented in there - thought you were not supposed to camp under trees - I wouldn't.
We are going to an independent site. Just park how you like around the field in your general elec post area. Room for awning one side & sun canopy the other side plus a washing line & everyone gets a giant fire pit. It's lovely! On site entertainment at w ends & there's a cafe, bar, brewery & gin distillery too & Street food vans on Fri /Sat. Hog roasts, forest craft lessons - all in the Cambs/Norfolk beautiful countryside
